T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I don't know if BtVS has the worst werewolves in the history of television. But that's ONLY because I have not seen every werewolf in the history of television. So I'm forced to merely suspect. 000

Reposted by T. StimacReena @reenamccarty.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I can't add a link because I'm not an audible subscriber in the uk so they're trying to SABOTAGE me, so I just have to present you with a canva graphic instead. BUT. If you ARE a UK audible subscriber you can get The Tricky Business of Faerie Bargains for only £4.99 this month. I think you should! 013
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I would have watched all five, but only if they kept the arc of the books. Not the narrative one, but the escalation of absurdity. 010
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I know it isn't really important, but calling "Dr. Masked Defender" "Mr. Mask" is so breathtakingly savage. 021
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Sunnydale has HALF the population of Missoula, MT in 2020. That's INSANE. Do these vampires WANT trophic collapse? Because this is how you GET trophic collapse. 100
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 21/09/2026A new eastern Mediterranean food truck opened up down the block from my office. It was going to be a disaster for my bank balance and waistline, but they were kind enough to have a bunch of AI "food" images on their sign. Really did me a solid. 000
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 21/09/2026We are onto S1E8: "I, Robot... You, Jane" and I don't know how, but Ashley Gable and Thomas A. Swyden absolutely called it that The Internet is full of demons and manipulating young men into murderous cultists. 101
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Like, you got Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, AND Miriam Shor as series mains and it took six seasons to solve the central problem of the episode by having them sing at each other in a gay bar? How did that take so long? 001
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I know I'm skeeting about a show that ended over five years ago that nobody watched, but it took exactly six seasons for "Younger" to... Whatever the positive version of jump the shark is. 100
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 18/09/2026That said, early Xander SUUUUUCKS. No shade to Nicholas Brendon, he's doing his best with a real stinker of a character and some dogwater lines, but oof. 110
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 18/09/2026As @reenamccarty.bsky.social says, all shade to Joss, but this show does actually whip ass. 120
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Who gives a shit. I'm busy trying to impress my 60 year old self. 000
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Also, there are few things funnier to me than a character with super strength using it in mundane situations and this show goes HARD on that. 110
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 17/09/2026The early series really only works because the cast is doing the hard carry every episode. And Gellar was an honest to god CHILD. Also, Joyce Summers is a single mom doing her best, but she is a BAD parent. 120
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 16/09/2026The Master is a lot less intimidating now that I'm reminded he's only been imprisoned under Sunnydale for SIXTY YEARS. Doofus got trapped down there in the Depression. 100
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Man, are Garth Nix's "The Old Kingdom" series the second best books about necromancy or is it just that Tim Curry read the audiobooks? 000
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I learned the phrase "roman à clef" during a Wikipedia rabbit hole on "The Devil Wears Prada" (2006, dir David Frankel). 120
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 15/09/2026We are watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" S1E1 for the first time in a minute and, uh, a lot of the staging reads like a bit of a roman à clef given subsequent reveals. 100
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 13/09/2026One of my favorite things about doing a real big run is getting to eat SLOP. Today's SLOP is a cup of rice cooked in chicken broth topped with Progresso™ broccoli cheese soup. Yum yum. 000
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 13/09/2026That was pretty fun, but WOOF, 2010 was a long time ago and not nearly as long ago as some might wish. They were doing their best, I'm sure. 010
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 13/09/2026"Shrek: The Musical" (2013, dir. Michael John Warren) is out here making a compelling case for queer liberation... Through violence. 100
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Brian, please, you're acting too hard. Your head is separating. 100
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Jesus of Nazareth confirmed to exist in the world of "Shrek: The Musical" (2013, dir. Michael John Warren). 110
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 13/09/2026@reenamccarty.bsky.social says I need to watch my step or I'll develop a reputation as a guy who can't be normal about Sutton Foster. I'd argue that anyone who watched "Younger" is incapable of being normal about Sutton Foster along this extremely specific axis. 121
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I did some envelope math: 35 year old Sutton Foster is pretending to be 30 year old Fiona. More believable than 39 year old Sutton Foster pretending to be 40 year old Liza Miller pretending to be 26 year old Liza Miller from season one of "Younger". 100
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Also, Sutton Foster is here. Unclear how old she's pretending to be. 110
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 13/09/2026The dragon puppet is pretty cool, but the actual puppeteering leaves something to be desired. 110
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 13/09/2026We are watching the proshot of "Shrek: The Musical" (2013, dir. Michael John Warren). Pretty fun so far. But weird choice to have Donkey not be an impression of Edward Regan Murphy, but Chris Tucker's star making turn as Ruby Rhod. 121
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Had to stay home from work with a migraine, but I did get to eat my first apple core of the season, so swings and roundabouts, I guess. 000

T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 07/09/2026It has been a couple years since I've seen it, but wouldn't that just be "Road House" where the heroes have a different set of skills? 150
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 03/09/2026I could only get to the end of the first parenthetical before I started having flashbacks to reading undergrad research papers. 000
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 28/08/2026I want to be on "The Traitors"! I'd be good at it! I like being outside! I'm a heartless psychopath! I would spend the whole time simping for Alan! It would be great! Get at me, NBC! 010
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 27/08/2026There's my guy! Best character in your - OR ANY OTHER - book! 020
T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 27/08/2026I forgot to mention it yesterday because I was overexcited, but I'm really happy Big Cow made it into this Extremely Official marketing material. 100

T. Stimac @tstimac.bsky.social · 26/08/2026This is the best book I've read this year and it has EVERYTHING: Union negotiations, a fake dating plot, and - most importantly - the Big Cow. 052
