One of the best games I've been to in years. #Oldham 4-0 #Halifax, May 2025 In Manchester for work; attended what turned out to be one of the greatest #OAFC games of the last 30 years. What an atmosphere, what an opening 12 minutes, what a result! Will always have a soft spot for the Latics now.

Laurent Blanc is Montpellier's all time leading goalscorer. Before becoming a defender, "le Président" was an attacking midfielder who scored 76 goals in 243 appearances for la Pallaide. Blanc went on to play for #Marseille, #Napoli, #Inter and #MUFC, as well as winning the World Cup and Euros.

#Swansea entered the 1981/82 season - their top flight debut - on the back of 3 promotions in 4 seasons. The mainly Welsh squad of #SCAFC finished 6th, an impressive feat for a club who had been in the Fourth Division as recently as 1978. It remains the club's highest league finish. #CCFC #wales

I don't agree with CPFC's interpretation of history I'm afraid, and i dont think many sports historians do either. ~30 years without any record of the club's existence to me means a new club were born, regardless of the company who founded them being the same.

To compare it to another local landmark used on football insignia, when I drove past the wonky church in Chesterfield (for the first and only time) I was more impressed than when I first saw the AOTN. The crooked spire is so bizarre, feels like its from a cartoon.
