I know. In a year I will have a state job where saying anything like this can get me fired. So I'll only say it in private after that. I'm practising. I'm kinda serious, I'm a bit too used to the situation where I am educated but don't really hold a job where anyone could nail me to the wall.

General practitioner couldn't prescribe that in Finland, felt weird. But yeah, I'm just covering my ass here. I know you're smart and capable. Sometimes it's something else so I just have this "I'm not a fucking doctor" routine, I'm sorry :)

An antipsychotic with seven pharmacological paths feels pretty strange for that when we absolutely have a very simple medication for "heightened emotional states"

Hum why don't they just give benzos for that? Much more predictable, works, and you're not getting hooked if it's occasional.

Well, effects of such medicines are individual. Seroquel has probably more individual factors than any other med I know. They don't know what happens when they prescribe it to you, it's always try and see.

Blaming parents automatically is shitty. And I see it all the time, usually from people who haven't much parented. Have you honestly lived through the phase of life where one does 12 hour shifts at work including travel, does chores at home, and has several small children around?

Only problem is the insane income inequality and currency created as loans (almost all of it is) that have an interest that require infinite growth. We shouldn't have any problem today with stable populations, but our systems are so fucked up it's a disaster.

Idk, population is usually stabilizing in developed countries anyway. We should have been figuring out how to run societies with aging population decades back, it was always clear we can't just breed like rabbits forever. And with current automation it shouldn't be a problem.

And when our work has very little value in an automated world, the people who own the machines own everything. We have no bargaining power. Either means of production are in some form of democratic control or we end up slaves or worse.

Yeah. Someone else owning the means of production worked for a short while when our work was so valuable we got enough scraps from the table to have a somewhat okay life. Now that value is being eroded by automation and Marx is more relevant than ever.
