Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 21/05/2025I wish I could talk about The Hundred Line in a way that didn't either massively spoil things for newcomers or expose myself to major plot points that haven't happened yet. This is a game that will be impossible to discuss for months 000
Reposted by TrysteroddSquishmeister @squishmeister.bsky.social · 01/05/2025Updated commission info. It's been a refreshing experience going fulltime with comms and I'm looking forward to keeping it going and improving my craft. Reposts very much appreciated. 0249
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 30/01/2025I love the Holodeck as a conceit. You just KNOW they had a bunch of old period costumes and sets lying around the backlot they needed an excuse to use—but it ended up leading to some of the best episodes and story moments in the entire series. 051
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 26/01/2025Where No One Has Gone Before sets the precedent for all future Wesley episodes, so that tells you all you need to know about it... 000
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 26/01/2025Flipped a coin, I get to skip The Naked Now. Code of Honor gets a free skip as well, though I do enjoy the least cool duel to the death ever conceived featuring a battle jungle gym. On to The Last Outpost! 100
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 25/01/2025Starting a TNG rewatch! Gonna skip a bad episode here or there, but I'll make a disclaimer when that happens, lol. Encounter at Farpoint is definitely NOT being skipped though, any episode with Q is mandatory. 100

Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 16/01/2025Is eating a shit ton of smoked salmon and nothing else for dinner a bad idea? Let's find out! 000
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 12/01/2025Well, that's it, huh? Man... What a bittersweet conclusion. Really would have liked some time to enjoy everyone's individual victories before getting hit by the crushing weight of realistic consequences. Still, what a great story! I'm going to remember these characters fondly. 100
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 11/01/2025I don't usually agree with those bell curve memes showing the simpleton and the enlightened, robed figure in agreement while the normal guy is seething, but the one about coffee is kind of spot on. Having tried every method, tool and process practical for daily home use, you just can't beat instant. 000
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 09/01/2025You're telling me I get a buddy cop side chapter in my JRPG? And it's an excuse to play with two of the party members who had great chemistry but didn't have enough chances to interact in the main story?? This is top tier. 100
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 09/01/2025A treat for all you goblin aficionados out there! Blen really cooked with this one. 010
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 03/01/2025Demons Roots is really starting to shine! Surprisingly fun and heartfelt writing, memorable characters who you grow to like and root for as you progress, and even the basic JRPG gameplay is executed quite well. I've played much worse from major publishers, lol. 100
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 02/01/2025Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's. I've been sick on and off for most of the month, but I feel like my health is finally improving and I'm looking forward to doing some cool things this year. 000
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 26/12/2024If you're not adding 1 oz of good whiskey to your glass of eggnog, you're not drinking it right. Freshly grated nutmeg is a given, of course. 020
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 23/12/2024Fifteen-ish hours into Demons Roots. Pleasantly surprised by how well the premise is executed here, it's clear the creator has a deep love for classic JRPGs. It's a shame it has so much eroge content, really—it feels almost like an obligation holding it back rather than a core feature. 000

Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 17/12/2024Here's some cringe fanart of @burgerkurger.com's preposterously proportioned fast food employee Billie! It started as a goofy doodle that I spent way too much time trying to fix, if I don't just post it now I will be trapped by it forever. 419829

Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 11/12/2024Reposting is a strange mechanic. I understand the basic utility of it, but in practice when someone reposts a lot it makes me want to unfollow them to keep my feed clean, especially if I'm already following many of the people they are reposting from.... What's the etiquette here? 100
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 10/12/2024If Lee's Sandwiches was as principled with the price of their iced coffee as Costco is with their hot dogs they would be an unstoppable market force. On the other hand, if those drinks weren't obscenely expensive in a way that limited consumption I would probably vibrate to death. 000
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 09/12/2024Demons Roots really should not be played on the Steam Deck—my initial impression of the game was seriously impacted by the resulting technical issues and weird censorship choices of the patchless version. Having played a few hours on PC, my opinion of the game has risen considerably. 100
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 07/12/2024I don't really draw much, but I have a sketching app for my phone that lets me doodle when the mood strikes. For some reason I got carried away drawing yesterday and ended up creating an entire OC. No idea if I'll do more with her, but I like the concept of 'secret shortstack' quite a bit. 111
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 05/12/2024Started this RPG Maker game last night called Demons Roots—picked it up blind from a random recommendation. So far it's okay; fairly amateur in terms of gameplay, but the strong point is supposedly the writing and characters, so I'm going to give it a few more hours to win me over. 000
Trysterodd @trysterodd.bsky.social · 03/12/2024Trying to read more 'real' books again—Just finished The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. Great stuff! Not always a big fan of surreal fiction, but this manages to hold all of its disparate elements together with a dream logic that makes sense on a visceral level. Really scratches that 'literature' itch. 000
