I think I'm going to be burnt out for a good long while. Read some blogs, articles, and retrospectives about glue work, maintenance, fixers, and crunch. Even filtering through the very obviously AI-generated ones, going through others' similar experiences made my back tense up like crazy.

Once the energy of meeting people wears off, human contact and interaction reminds me of how detached and removed I feel from it all like it exists for everyone but me. At this point, I've decided I've gone through too many hoops to try to get this to work in Nobara. Fuck this for any sort of media work. I need a hammer for some nails, but I'm being given a hammerhead with no handle that is somehow incompatible with my nails. I'll stick to Windows and MacOS.

srt stream to the Nobara machine. Failure. I look around and find that the OBS media source/ the packaged ffmpeg on Linux, does not support srt listening. Odd decision but ok, I install ffmpeg and manually run an srt listener that relays the input to a local UDP output as mpegts. Same error.
