"I hate a popular thing" is mostly boring soooo instead tell me the piece of media you love despite everyone else hating it. The Dolph L version of Masters of the Universe. I know very few people who like it, and plenty who really don’t. But I unashamedly love it. It’s silly and fun and earnest.

We've just finished our final session of a 3-year Shadowrun campaign. 2050s, classic adventures. A mix of SR veterans and first-time gamers. 6e rules, changed to 3e part way. Great ending. I have loads of thoughts, but right now I'm in the bittersweet end of campaign mood. Gaming is great y'all.

60th RPG session of the year; Urban Shadows 2e (from @magpiegames.bsky.social, who do amazing things with PbtA) after a bit of a break. We went hard from the open to the end, loads happened - I dig how this system drives the play. Sessions like this with awesome players remind me why I love GMing.

Also picked up The Wildsea from @mythworkshq.bsky.social at UK Games Expo. Such a wildly creative and beautiful game. Anyone not grabbed by chainsaw-hulled ships on a dangerous and mystical sea of treetops is someone I can’t understand. Catcus people, colonies of spiders in skin suits. Awesome!

This is absolutely brilliant - have a look if you like a gaslight meets high tech setting where you dare to hope and make a stand for your community in the face of oppression and troubles. It's got an amazing iteration of the Forged in the Dark system (my favourite), and some truly gorgeous art.
