I think sometimes when they know your parent is an education author they think that automatically they’re going to be perfect—but it take hard work and practice—as you know. 120
Craig Randall @trustbasedcraig.bsky.social · 10/12/2024Same goes for teacher evaluation. When we grade their pedagogy it creates a deficit mindset in observers, increases teacher dissatisfaction and factors into our teacher shortage. Same thing—something is wrong. Doesn’t have to be that way. 020

Reading O’Leary’s research that said rating T’s diminishes relational trust which causes them to play it safe and therefore not take risks or innovate is when I understood why. 000
