This household is opting out of purchasing anything tomorrow! If we grab lunch or dinner out, it will be at a small business with cash. I’ve logged out of my IG too and won’t even be opening it tomorrow.

When I think about sustainability in jewelry, I think about a spectrum of impacts our materials can have - from doing harm to people and planet, to mitigating that harm, to creating positive impacts. I strive to be on the positive impact side! #Fairmined gold and artisanally mined gems are the key

Sustainability in jewelry is complex as we're working with finite resources as materials. That's why it's extra important to consider all aspects of sustainability (including cultural and economic, not just environmental). Fairmined gold ensures responsibility in all these areas #sustainablejewelry

I'd love to build a space here where we can discuss #sustainablejewelry topics - between jewelers but also for honest conversations with consumers. If you purchase jewelry - what do you want to know more about so you can ensure your purchases align with the kinds of businesses you want to support?

As an ethical jeweler, I believe it is imperative to acknowledge the colonialist foundation the jewelry industry is built upon. We can't really have real, honest conversations about how to improve the jewelry industry without that acknowledgement. #finejewelry #sustainablejewelry #fairmined

Why I use #fairmined gold in my jewelry: it’s a certification that ensures the gold is mined responsibly with added benefits to the whole community near the mine! Our jewelry is often a symbol of love - it should do something positive for people and planet too! #jewelry #handmadejewelry #goldjewelry
