idk if i've ever posted Golly Germ publicly but this is my son and i love him very much #art

softly-rendered art of Golly Germ, a mustachioed individual with a charmingly spherical nose. he wears a snowman-shaped pink jumpsuit with a big zipper, and a black backpack with attached greenish gray bedroll. he appeared in my brain in january and upon doodling him i held a vote to decide his name, which spanned around eight discord servers and ended with 102 total votes. it was 55/47 in favor of Golly against Germ, but by the end of it i liked both names enough that i made Germ his surname.

happy homestuck day. i didn't feel like finding my old joke trollsona picrew to use as a pfp for the day so i decided to doodle the sona but ended up getting way too into it and dug up the picrew to use as reference anyway

It's a homestuck troll. They have somewhat sunken, grumpy eyes, jagged horns, and very curly hair. They're wearing glasses and a jacket with a collar that comes up to just below their eyes, covering their mouth.

okay so. when brothership came out, i was disappointed with the art style and did a redraw of its key art. i was not a very good artist then. this month i started a playthrough of the game to refresh my opinion, and today, i decided to run it back #mario&luigi #mario #luigi #brothership #art

This is a recreation of key art for the game Mario & Luigi: Brothership, rendered in a style more reminiscent of earlier, Masanori Sato-created key art from the series, particularly focusing on Superstar Saga's look but with some aspects (such as Luigi's purpler overalls) taken from Bowser's Inside Story. I have an obsession with this style.

The "ollld" sketch in question, which is mostly accurate to the finished product (if very unpolished) but with some differences, such as:
1. Unfinished designs for Gray, Lark and Bella
2. A photo of the "Mothership" NES peripheral in place of Bowser instead of Shoe
3. Instead of "Dinners for Two," the subtitle reads "Subtitle For Video Game," because I hadn't decided on a subtitle yet

i don't normally do speedpaints but i randomly decided it would be fun to try it with this piece. here is that. the quality is garbage for like most of the process because i was drawing in a tiny little corner of a giant canvas and then it gets crisp right at the end when i crop it properly. oops!
