Rio — Duran Duran (1981) Solid album. I think the highs overshadow most of the tracks but their bassist absolutely carries those tracks. Wonderful basslines and rhythms. Unrelated to the music, I really dig the album cover. 7/10.

The Backrooms (2026) I think making this more focused on people who end up there as opposed to just the surreal locations and abstract existential horror was a good direction. Overall kinda depressing in a way? 8/10.

Metroid: Zero Mission (2006) Fantastic remake of the NES original, that just objectively improves on it. Easiest Ridley fight, followed by the WORST Mother Brain fight I’ve ever put up with, holy shit. 9/10.

The End, So Far — Slipknot (2022) Yeah this shit is terrible. Like there’s good riffing here but it doesn’t matter when the entire album is compressed as FUCK. What the fuck happened to the mixing? Medicine for the Dead is especially rancid, good GOD i cannot stand Corey’s voice in this album 0/10

SPRAWL zero (2026) Game of the year, no contest. Not only does it wear its inspirations on its sleeve with reverence, it does those games justice by having one of the best combat loops i've ever played in an FPS. With a phenomenal soundtrack and a pretty cool story, SPRAWL zero is worthy.

Halo Campaign Devolved (2026) I’m conflicted. Because on one hand it at the very least understands the atmosphere of CE, and its decently fun. But otherwise, EVERYTHING this sets out to do, absolutely fucking fails. Overusing the soundtrack. Terrible redone dialogue. AI usage. Disgraceful. 2/10.

QUAKE: Dimension of the Past/ Dimension of the Machine (2021) Really good! Going in i thought i’d hate it because i marathon’d quake and hated it prior. That was not the case here, but they really squeeze every last drop the game has out of it. Quake is kinda boring otherwise.

Been trying billy out. Sucks to see him get nerfed so often, but he’s still very powerful and damn near unstoppable late game if he’s got the momentum of a killstreak, even without it his disruptive playstyle is mad fun. Shout out to the GOAT!
