It's a clear sentence. Vote blue, no matter who. What don't you understand?

So just out of curiosity - as you reject voting blue, no matter who - what's your strategy for change that's ready to go?

Tillis won elections. Hegseth did not.

Please don't throw around the label "rapist." I tundermines your - and the blue community's - credibility. Hegseth has never been on trial for, let alone convicted of rape. If your point is not good enough to stand without exaggerating or speculating and presenting it as fact, don't speak.

You have no evidence for that. You seem to enjoy being a contrarian without a factual basis. Provide some facts - like for instance numbers - to support your theory.

If you don't see the differences between the Trump and Biden administrations you are getting what you voted for.

There was a choice in 2024 between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. You just said that Democrats deserved to lose to Trump. I'll assume therefore you voted for Trump, either by casting your ballot for him, or by not voting which gave Trump your vote. Fun fact - no one gave a damn about your mindset.

trueblueribbon.bsky.social @trueblueribbon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
I agree. Dems should not have just taken Biden's recommendation as dispositive and, late though it was, they should have run another primary.

The civic obligation & privilege of a voter is not to make anyone happy or unhappy including themselves. It's to choose between two candidates offered and weigh in. Got an opinion, then write a letter to the editor, volunteer w an organization or write to your elected officials.

Let me say this clearly and unequivocally. There is never a good reason to refuse to vote. Period. A vote is not a tool for protest any more than it's a commodity for sale. It's a right and a civic duty to choose between two candidates, one of whom is going to win and one who is going to lose.

As far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong, Qatar didn't ask for anything in return, Trump accepted it, claiming it will go into a President's library he will build. Unless and until there's uncovering of a transaction, or Trump takes the plane to Maralago it's good. Do we need more laws - yep.

They did not bribe a US president or anyone else. It was a gift which Trump should have turned down, but accepted and it is not his it belongs to the people. He doesn't get to keep it, assuming he leaves office this time without succeeding in having a mob's insurrection succeed.

Yes, she votes. But she does not write any bills herself, which in her case might be smart. If she wants medicare /preschool for all - where's the bill? The last bill I recall her writing was the Green New Deal which was so badly written no one voted for it - including Dems & Bernie.

That is her job. That is what she is paid to do. It matters a great deal. If people like the way she talks, she should get a cable tv show. And on the one or two clips I've seen on youtube she has no idea how to question people at hearings. She is unprepared to put it kindly.

Well, assuming they were a representative sample, which I don't, that was a ridiculous argument for them to make. As are all the arguments against voting, for that matter. Washington crossed the Delaware on a horse through ice - but it's just too much trouble to go to the polls. Gets to me.

You don't know who it was. For instance, Rashida Tlaib did her idiotic part by telling people to vote uncommitted in the primary, then refusing to endorse Harris. Many of her admirers did their idiotic part by taking her advice.

He does have a problem with making several anti-Semitic comments and I do not mean anti-Israel, anti-war, or anti-Zionist comments I mean anti-Semitic. So, I would say vote for him as the lesser of two evils.

Oh! You mean like Nancy Pelosi, who single-handedly organized the J6 committee? Who has the record of highest number of bills passed into law? Who do you have in mind to replace her? AOC - who has not gotten one single bill - zero - through Congress ever? A big ageist aren't you...

I did not say that. Only the House can bring impeachment proceedings and only the House can impeach. The Senate can then convict or acquit. And you're inaccurate when you say it takes all of Congress. Trump was still impeached twice tho never convicted.

I didn't say anyone is obliged to vote as Schumer wishes. However, Schumerdoes have but doesn't use, the power to unite the party. Case in point, he praised Fetterman's vote against the Dems as being a "good" senator. Take a look at Mitch McConnell's leadership when he was the majority leader.

trueblueribbon.bsky.social @trueblueribbon.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
Forming a solid blue wall which has a lot to do with the leadership. It all has a lot do w Senate Structure. Schumer speaks at Senate Hearings for the Dems, Schumer chooses which legislation to push. You've seen McConnell in acton when Obama was President. Compare the two.

This conversation is going all over the place. We're talking about pardons, and you bring in impeachment. Ford was never impeached. And impeachment begins in the House - not "Congress" and they can only impeach if they have the votes. If they do, the Senate can then vote to acquit or convict.

You don't understand how the Congress in general, and the Senate in particular work. There's a leader for a reason and the leader has powers for a reason that the rest do not. www.senate.gov/about/partie... ballotpedia.org/State_Senate...

Trump was elected in by a landslide. 41 million people voted for him - and their votes are almost as important as yours... Trump doesn't go "bye bye" just because you don't like him. 34 million Democrats failed to vote, if I recall correctly. You could try and do something about that.

I think a major force in curtailing the prosecution was Merrick Garland. He should have unleashed Jack Smith the day after the last J6 committee hearing was televised.

As to votes on various bills - that is Chuck Schumer's job to tackle, not Schiff's. Were it vice versa, Mitch McConnell would have destroyed all of them. Schumer is inept to put it mildly and should be removed from the leadership and replaced. But - once again - party politics before country

I believe all Senators must be on a committee - and food & agriculture is probably one of the least harmful committees to assign Fetterman to. It is true that with friends like Fetterman, who needs enemies? But, remember - the People voted him in. More than once. That's the ultimate parameter.

How? When they realized Biden was not fit his staff hid it rather than address it. When it was exposed on tv, rather than violate "party rules" the Party wasted weeks waiting for Biden to voluntarily step down and then accepted his recommendation of Harris to show unity rather than picking a winner.

Can you think of a different way to say this, so that rather than sounding like you're addressing a law school class, it has some power in it and sounds like you're trying to fire up the public to rally to the cause?

Learn how to read. The judge's decision does not use the word rape. The conviction is not for rape. If you know for a fact that Trump raped children then trot on over to your local DA and show them the proof. Otherwise sit down and shut up.

Exactly. And Congress better write a new law so any congressperson can raise the issue of illegal orders and bring an emergency action to a special bipartisan committee to be created within this new law which is set up for quick review - bec obviously the military cannot be trusted to judge itself
