Felix Schneider @felixs.dev · 25/09/2026How do you plan to convey the information to all members of a Discord server that all their messages will be public on ATproto? I personally think this os really cool, but either you do it off protocol for now or wait for Spaces, or am I missing something? 130

Felix Schneider @felixs.dev · 23/09/2026The data is split into individual cards. Here you can see the dedicated lexicon for it: pdsls.dev/at://did:plc... But opendeck.space has rate limiting built in, so when you copy a deck from someone else, it makes sure not to create too many record at once and just waits a little bit.pdsls.devat://opendeck.space/com.atproto.lexicon.schema/space.opendeck.card 100
Felix Schneider @felixs.dev · 23/09/2026amazing, thank you! If I have some time, I might be able to take a look, but no promises 🤞 010
Felix Schneider @felixs.dev · 23/09/2026I'm gonna take a look at it later, the general logic is that per card and direction you have one progress record. So if you switch direction it creates another record if it hasn't already. In other words: At max 2 progress records per card. 110
Felix Schneider @felixs.dev · 23/09/2026I thought about it, but removed it because switching directions would then cause confusion. But you can already edit the deck name to your liking under the "Edit" button 110
Felix Schneider @felixs.dev · 23/09/2026Thanks for the feedback! Progress records are actually updated if there is already one for the same card, so the number of records is bounded. 110
Felix Schneider @felixs.dev · 23/09/2026It is really great and smooth. Love it. The only thing that confused me a bit is that I had to install `@atproto/oauth-client-browser` for OAuth manually. But that's also a me issue since I didn't know about optional peer deps before. But would maybe be nice if atcute could also be used. 110
Felix Schneider @felixs.dev · 23/09/2026More info about this can be read in atproto.com/blog/atproto... The reason OpenDeck already supports it is because I wanted to play around with it with a test account. Under bsky.network/account/ you can also create a test account on the spaces alpha PDS: spaces-alpha.host.bsky.network/account/atproto.comThe Atproto Spaces Alpha is LiveAtproto Spaces, formerly known as “the permissioned data protocol,” is a new extension to atproto that enables non-public data. The alpha is now officially open. Here’s how to develop with it and what to expect as we work towards the full release. 000
Felix Schneider @felixs.dev · 23/09/2026Yes, currently everything you do in ATproto is publicly visible. People on the ATproto team are working on making private data available, which is called ATproto spaces. opendeck.space already supports ATproto spaces, but it is in the early alpha stage and should not be used by users already! 100

Felix Schneider @felixs.dev · 22/09/2026I'm so happy for you and Netlify. This is such a cool new feature.
