How's this for a throwback? I've written a new adventure for an old set of rules. The Demands of Destiny for 3.5. It's discounted through to the end of GenCon (which, sadly, I cannot attend this year). Be well, all.

My niece visited my father at the Putnam County Community Center to perform holiday songs on the harp for senior luncheon.

Lego is a holiday tradition. Got a mini build with two tiny knights and their tiny castles from the missus.

We're clearing closets at the Taylor household and uncovered this gem from February 2007: my debut as a convention GM in nearby Princeton, IL. I ran three different games that night. The third session was cut in half because a snowstorm was forcing us to shut down early.

Folks over at Kobold Press have been sharing lots of free gaming goodies during this Advent season ... and this little item is downright wicked fun. "Earth to earth" indeed for unfortunate creatures that Cathria's Bloom takes root in.

Clear skies in NW IL. But it's also below freezing. What little snow we have ain't going anywhere.

Just completed Meacham's Thomas Jefferson The Art of Power. Strong insights into how Jefferson expanded the power of the executive branch to meet each crisis confronted by the young nation.

I do a lot of grilling. Even when the weather isn't so nice. I'll post about books I've read, activities of the family, crafts and photography and my contributions to the tabletop roleplaying hobby. Work and politics: not so much.
