Democracies don't end with a bang. They are slowly chipped away at until they become something else. Don't be fooled into thinking it can't happen here.

Directing DOJ to slow-walk politically damaging decisions until after people vote would be a major scandal under any normal administration. Here, it’s just Friday.

Run up the debt by shoveling cash to your rich buddies in exchange for political donations. Use that debt as an excuse to cut necessary programs. How many times are we going to see this movie.

Wow: the federal government is paying MAGA influencers on X and other social media to post pro-regime propaganda. Actual paid crisis actors. Incredible reporting here. wapo.st/4x0p3pf
Screenshot of two posts by Washington Post reporter Dan Lamothe on X. Lamothe reports that the Pentagon has secretly placed several conservative military veterans with large online followings into undisclosed government roles while they publicly amplify Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s viewpoints. He says some have civilian positions that could influence policy and names Rob Maness, Kurt Schlichter, and Thomas Anderson, who posts online as “Cynical Publius.”

If, at the end of this dark era, we actually have a Democratic president again, there is one thing they absolutely must take to heart: F*ck forgiveness. Our country will only unite behind criminal prosecution and prison sentences, before eventually, slowly, beginning to heal.

SNAP accounts for around 1.5% of the federal budget. This has nothing to do with saving money or preventing fraud. They just want to punish people who have done nothing to deserve punishment.

And they'll encourage J6ers to sue the government so they can settle, and the overall cost will end up being more than the original proposal. They're not backing down, they're just changing the terms.

They said 1/6 pardons would be issued on a case by case basis, then realized it would be too much work so they just pardoned them all. We should expect the same here. Last thing they want to do is actually work.
