The deeper I dive in the details of NetBeans, the more impressed I am with the codebase and build system. The original parts of NB are pretty old, and that shows, but not in a negative way. New code lives in the same repository. (1/2)

Apache NetBeans is the only IDE I use. I know it is less popular than a few others, but it somehow feels as it respects me as a developer. That's something I miss in other IDE's, which often give me a feeling of "Trust me, I know (better than you) what you want to do".

They use nbm-maven-plugin, not sure where it's bound though. When I try to run the app I get: Could not resolve dependencies for project...Could not find artifact... Well, clean install has served me well so far 😜
