What profit? Right now all LLM providers are DEEPLY leveraged (isaiprofitable.com) with basically no business model to show for it. The future that’s coming is when all of our individual hardware (laptops, phones) run OSS models locally.

Northshore reconsidered that specific ad campaign. Don’t think for one instant they cancelled all accounts with all AI providers. They never committed to that. You got fooled by a marketing maneuver.

Maintaining my steady ~80% average month-over-month. There were a few instances of the iOS shortcuts misfiring or corrupting timeframes (or inconsistently looking up prior-change information) though 😕 I had to be on the lookout and fix wear-periods in the app pretty often this month

I am less worried about the “Microslops” of the world (they have scale to fall back on). I’m worried about the SMBs out there (like Northshore or CutiePlusU or cute Etsy shops). The street-level businesses that live and die from tweets and word of mouth. The ones with truly thin profit margins.

In this context, AI accelerates most everything about how a business does business: analyzing customer sentiment, applying design changes to products, monitoring the supply chain, reordering ingredients, summarizing feedback…not just generating art for diapers or marketing copy for social media.

That is the “demand higher quality in general” corollary I was talking about. Market forces demand that they use AI, so the ask from us should be “use AI. Not too much. Always to connect with other humans.” Asking them to stop using AI means that they die and we don’t want that.

This is *every* company not just ABDL…and capabilities of AI are far enough along that cancelling an ABDL company means the company cannot compete and will be lapped by those which do. It’s okay to want high quality from companies, but cancelling them hurts the ABDL community as a whole

I find this sentiment deeply sexist. I won’t contend to know the truth, but this is not it and it perpetuates gendered stereotypes. The goal needs to be open and honest communication about wants and needs in relationships, not dismissive conclusions based on what’s in people’s pants. Reconsider.

Folks protesting @tykables.com: All companies - for-profit and otherwise, ABDL and otherwise - are learning how to use AI right now…and you likely are in your day-to-day life too. If you intend to protest the use of AI, “walking that walk” means boycotting MOST companies. And designers too.
