Been a little quiet here on the art front as I'm going through some other major life shifts right now, but I am thrilled to be participating in this year's Emerging Artists program through the The Guild of Artists & Artisans! Great to meet so many diverse folks on the same path on Monday!

Collage of photos of the program kick off meeting for the 2025 Emerging Artists program through the Guild of Artists and Artisans at the Gutman Gallery on Monday, april 21, 2025.

The Emerging Artists program helps prepare Artists to be prepared to exhibit at art fairs and festivals and helps with learning all aspects of the business of art.

Here's a couple more that won't count towards #100tinypaintings, but are part of the same work as the tiny framed watercolors I posted the other day. It's almost ready to roll off the bench! And props to anyone who recognizes the source.... ;)

Tiny acrylic painting of a fiddle and bow on a yellow background surrounded by blue molding. A penny sits next to it for comparison. The fiddle looks to be about the right size for Lincoln to play!

Your work is stunning, Nick. It evokes the Diego Rivera industrial murals at the Detroit Institute of Arts!

I wholeheartedly support the cause behind boycotting American businesses to protest the tariffs. That said, please be cautious of extending that same reasoning to small businesses and creators. Many did not want or choose what is happening, and will be struggling with these changes as well.

Been quiet here lately, but I've got a number of new things coming down the pipe soon! Here's a little teaser of one new series of projects I'm excited about!

A slab of pink XPS foam with some wooden trim and the starting outline of a scribed stone facade. What will it be? Follow this space to find out!

From my personal acct. Tldr; not a fan of Zuck and his policy changes, but a network like that is the people on it and their contributions. I hope we can make FB be the place we want it to be in spite of those policies. I'm growing things here, but not leaving there just yet. Be the change...
