Feeling very much like fall today.

Illustration of a tree-lined boulevard with autumn-colored leaves, leading to a large stone arch in the distance under a pale blue sky. Hand-lettered text at the top reads "A fall day..." The road down the center is empty except for a yellow dashed line. People walk along the paths on either side, a couple of them carrying bags, while a dog runs across the path and a woman in pink pants rides a bicycle with a basket on the front.

It isn't wrong though. America is one continent.

I think these are the only drawings I have with dogs?

Cartoon drawing of a man wearing a red striped shirt, and sunhat with a long red flower sticking out the top of the hat. The man is walking a drooling wiener-dog who has a red hat on with a yellow flower sticking out the hat.

The AI Compute Access Fund subsidized access to non-Canadian cloud services for Can. companies, so yes public money flowed toward foreign infrastructure. The gov framing them together doesnt make them the same. Rules & spending are different tools. Canada has invested heavily, regulated very little.

My illustration portfolio is live at tristengrant.com — children's picture book work, updated and ready to go. Available for new projects and always happy to hear from authors, editors, and agents.

Screenshot of tristengrant.com showing a children's picture book illustration portfolio. Four illustrations are displayed in a 2x2 grid: a group of Halloween trick-or-treaters including a girl in a skeleton costume and a character with a pumpkin head; a toy robotic-monkey finding a hiding shot during a game of hide-and-seek; a child standing facing a wall while counting to four; and a softly lit nighttime scene of a child reading in bed with the caption "but dinosaurs were his favourite!"

I don't like the use of Ai, regardless if its factually correct or not. Look, I found a photos of Obama with his Nobel prize. No need for Ai and harming the environment. Photos from Wikipedia.

👋 Hey friends, especially agents, publishers, and fellow picture book artists! I’m rethinking my online portfolio and need your perspective: For picture book portfolios, do you prefer a scrollable page showing full images, or a grid of thumbnails to click?

Watched Clown In A Cornfield yesterday. Was cool to see my small Canadian town in a movie. I delivered papers to the house the family lived in. The jail's exterior is actually an old Post Office which was the Library when I was a kid.

A creepy clown wearing a small hat and holding an axe stands menacingly in the right side of the image On the left side, the text Clown in a Cornfield.

Might as well re-post this. Feels like the right time. #Halloween #KidLit #TrickOrTreat #Pumpkin

Three children in Halloween costumes stand together smiling outdoors. The child on the left wears a black skeleton outfit with a red heart on the chest and carries a black-coloured skull trick-or-treat bag. The child in the middle wears a pumpkin costume with a large pumpkin-shaped headpiece and a blue shirt. The child on the right is dressed as a brown bear or mouse, and holds an orange pumpkin-shaped candy bucket. They stand on a brick walkway beneath a tree, enjoying a lighthearted Halloween moment.

The brick we dug up while planting Saskatoon bushes.

A large red brick on top of wood boards. A green leaf from a plant is on the right side.

Harriet The Spy Cat came over today. Ate some food, then immediately flopped on the floor to ask to pets. Later, we played a video for her to watch while she relaxes/sleeps.

A multi-coloured stray cat faces a small tablet screen, watching a video of a gecko run around on a wall. Her paws are relaxed but toughing the screen.

AI art is the same as drawing. Exactly the same.

An AI enthusiast explains to a human artist how AI art is made in the same way.
