Added some global statistics based on the Tekken 8 tournament glicko2 ratings I've calculated to TekkenRatings since I can't do any lab measurements while I wait for a SSA to arrive...

Also worth noting - I calculate based on set wins, not match wins, so if you go 3/2 vs 3/1 vs 3/0, the glicko2 differential is the same.

Next steps are going to be prettying-up the interface, including match data (which I've already stored some basic information), and name searching so you don't need to use the slug.

First version of my Tekken 8 offline rating system is built! It can be found at the link below - just put in your user slug (from your start.gg profile) and click submit, and your glicko2 rating and deviation will pop up. I've scraped most of the past year's tournaments (only in the US for now...)

The backend of my Tekken Offline ELO system seems to be working.... I have to manually tell it to update the database for older matches with a walking time window and still need to automate current tournament runnings but so far so good.

Found some low power four-wave-mixing in some short (~few mm) SiN waveguides. The kicker is I'm seeing it between two completely separate lasers over a broad wavelength range. Only thing I can come up with currently is some gain seeding between the two lasers but currently a little stuck.

Made some progress with MariaDB, but still learning all the conventions and best practices. Hats off to y'all that do this every day!

One thing I noticed pretty quick is that start.gg only returns up to 1000 entries per call, so I'll need to convert a lot of my calls to paginated API calls to handle this - that's something that's on my to-do list. If anyone can recommend an elegant solution please let me know!

Once I have parsed the JSON to grab all the user IDs and their associated tournament sets, I go through and issue another API call per-set to get each slot's uID, winner status, and number of wins. My next step data-wise is to pass this through to a database (MariaDB maybe?) to store.

Making some initial progress with querying the start.gg API. At the moment, I'm simply querying for 4 (random?) past tournaments within the US that contain Tekken 8 events and filtering out only the T8 event, grabbing the entrant's associated user ID (constant across all events) and their sets.

Decided I'm going to try and jump back into my love for coding and work on a glicko2 rating system for start.gg Tekken tournaments! My plan is to help tournament goers be able to compare their results on a more quantitative basis, as event-to-event skill won't always be equal.
