I've heard of Proton's CEO statement last year, was there anything new? His statement seems overblown. He did say that Republicans were doing better on a specific isssue but was definitely not endorsing Trump. Proton's statement about it is reassuring compared to the doubling down of 1Pass.

Yeah indeed it "should" be fine. But they also say: Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Liquid damage is not covered under warranty, but you might have rights under consumer law.

Waterproof means that it's made to be submerged repetitively. Iphones are water resistant, meaning it's made to resist accidental drops in a pool and rain. But the older the device gets the higher the chances it'll get water damage.

Paired with the swipe down from home screen gesture it's a nice way to open notifications one handed. Then, personal preference, but I feel like reduce-motion makes the phone very snappy.

If you snoop around in the settings you should be able to turn off/remove/disable anything that bothers you. One extra tip would be to change the notification panel to "together" for quick access to notifications (panel settings, just Google it).

It's still challenging but I'm one month in and so far the second kid is easier than the first, even with a toddler to take care of next to it. I guess because we know what to expect, and the change in our routine is smaller since we were already in "parent mode".

What is your opinion on 3. and 4. ? I think "Offering the option to default to a chronological feed" would be an idea. And while I don't know the details of the law, making the platforms more responsible of what they recommend sounds healthy.

I've made the same Arc to Zen switch. My favourite part is that the UI can be customised with CSS. The downside is that the Firefox engine is slightly slower but it's generally unnoticeable. Worthy Arc successor imo!

I only recorded some internal presentations. Splitting the recordings into short (~3min) chapters for easy re-do's helped. I guess a step up would be post editing.

That and herbs. Also juicy tomatoes. There are definitely some key ingredients even if each regions have their own take on them. After some soul searching my conclusion is that the one true Mediterranean dish is taboulleh. Most countries around the Mediterranean will have their own local version.

I enjoyed the videos because I can listen to them during the day while doing chores. The only time I can read long articles is after my kid's gone to bed and by then I'm usually too tired for in-depth topics. And AI narration just isn't there yet.

May I ask, so I don't accidentally DDOS websites: why do LLMs generate more traffic than normal users? Is there a difference in traffic if I check some documentation manually vs putting the page link in an LLM prompt?

I had the same issue! Since I use spotlight exclusively for apps and quick maths, I unchecked everything else from the spotlight settings. It's been fine since doing that.

Having used both Pixels and Galaxy S over the years, I feel like the experience is very similar. Pixels have some call features like "Hold for me" and a better camera. Samsungs have more raw power for the money. Both have Google Assistant. Either would be my top choice for an Android device.
