iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

This first, mostly finished, half of the zine is what I consider the backbone to building a (again, hobby-level) website. (4/4)

This spread gets it's own post because I really want people to understand file paths. If you understand these, moving between hosts (and testing locally without internet) is simple. (3/4)

My site is hosted on Neocities, but this (hobby-level) guide is applicable to any host of your choice. (2/4)

Last summer I started working on a zine about building your own website, worked on it for a few months, then petered out halfway through. Maybe I'll finish it one day, but for now here's what I have so far (1/4):

had a thought I'd edit out the more overt shippy things but then remembered what i put on the cover:

Your choice of pie, as long as it's lime. Another illustration that's been languishing in my WIP folder. This one was started in April 2024.

Zelv @triptychtalk.bsky.social · 01/08/2025

I'm working on that zine I mentioned a bit back plus picking at so many of my WIPs. Both of these dessert-centric pieces I started last year. And I've started two more ideas in my sketchbook...

I originally started this intending to replace my phone wallpaper [pictured], hence the size of the canvas, but I am dissatisfied with it. Glad I finally got it somewhat completed though! (I still have not changed my phone wallpaper. The pic is 4 years old.)

Saying "good enough!" to long-standing WIPs: In the Garden, file created end of June 2023. (Re)Completion AU.

it's come to my attention that I have no idea what ymx's hair is doing in the umbrella sketch. it's neither of his usual hairstyles and I know I've drawn it before (pictured) but now I'm doing a non-chibi straight-on view and ???

the porcelain berry vine is a pretty but invasive vine and it won't stop growing in my backyard #KingdomHearts

doing a "simple headshot" which means I'm agonizing over my lines. As usual. I wish I had a stylus to work on this when I'm away from my desk

Zelv @triptychtalk.bsky.social · 02/05/2025

I am still alive and unfortunately for everyone around me 50% of what I am thinking of at any given moment is the Expo and finally being able to go to an Expo. The other 50% is. Well. The usual.

These pavilions have been planned for years at this point. There are many things I can make fun of my country's pavilion for but I this is the part that I gave up a bit and stared at my screen.

Now that I've seen the price of the newest handheld, I am more set in replaying the games I already own.

Originally it was a study(?) of the full Kuppenheimer Mermaid piece, but I got overwhelmed and chopped it in half so I could finish it.

Last day of hearts month. I had to do one Leyendecker for my #KingdomHearts project.

I don't do much in the way of Valentine's day, but it is 2 and 14 and we all enjoy talk of hearts around here. #KingdomHearts

Almost Valentine's day! I still like the silly xoxo I made for these. #KingdomHearts

Unlike last time, I have more at my disposal than MSPaint, my fingers, and a touchscreen. BEHOLD: a scribble from the end of 2018

Zelv @triptychtalk.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

Had to get new laptop, drew blue haired person to mark the date like I did last time.

Since it's a rare snow day here, I think this is fitting to post. I finished it almost exactly a year ago - it's the December illustration from my #KingdomHearts project.

It's been three(!?) years but I finally finished all the chibi sets for my KH20th project. The important part is I kept them somewhat consistent and they're DONE! #KingdomHearts

Happy New Year! I'm going to be slowly uploading some older work in addition to (hopefully) new pieces in the coming year. This is the first illustration I did for my #KingdomHearts anniversary project.

And because I think it's fun, here's 2020-2023. I realize it has been A While since I've changed my userpic.

Zelv @triptychtalk.bsky.social · 31/12/2024

Didn't think I'd have enough to do a year in review, and while chronological, these are not monthly. But hey! I finished two more illustrations for my KH project and made considerable progress on the last chibi set. I was also, unfortunately, still seized by demons. And look! Two non-KH pieces!

Ah, I see this platform doesn't support transparency. Oh well! Here's some supplemental materials.

Merry belated Christmas illustration! Played around with new things for this - 3D models in CSP and textures I scanned in from my hoard of scrapbook paper. #KingdomHearts

Merry Christmas! Please accept this pair of #KingdomHearts chibis.

Guess who's getting a holiday redraw after Christmas - you are! I will be late as usual.

Zelv @triptychtalk.bsky.social · 13/12/2024

I know I posted a single image and then vanished for more than a month, but that's normal for me. I've been working on the final chibi set for my KH project, had a moment (read: four days) of fear that my laptop died, and spent yesterday figuring out the 3D posing tools in CSP.

Zelv @triptychtalk.bsky.social · 31/10/2024

Xemsai: don't lose your head. (Happy Halloween!)
