AI investment accounted for 92% of US GDP growth in 1H 2025. Holy shit! So the economy is essentially being propped up by this investment. I've been wondering why Trump's policies haven't crashed the economy yet. Deportations, tariffs and now this war are all drags.

I feel like a state like CA could buy a patent for one of these drugs, mass produce it and put everyone with prediabetes (pretty much the entire middle-aged population) on it and save massively on healthcare costs. A lot of fast food joints would go out of business but I think we can live with that.

I don’t understand MAGA math but the entirety of immigrants (naturalized, permanent residents, documented, undocumented and TPS) only adds up to 47.9 million. So this is definitely not just about immigration.
