I was going back through an old SD card and found this one- maybe one of the first tattoos I did when I lived in Beacon in 2022, although it’s date-stamped “January 5th, 2007” so I’m not sure (I was 7 years old on 1/5/07, for the record) #tattoo #tattooartist #collage #pdxart #pdxtattoo

Unfortunately there’s a lot of residual bias in the tattoo industry in particular because closed apprenticeships often lead to personal opinions being passed down as if they’re truths…

Thank you so much! What an excellent review.

The contrast between inked and un-inked skin will vary of course, but logistically there is no difference (apart from, for example, extra caution if a given client is prone to keloid scarring)

I’m so sorry you’ve been turned down! Upsetting and illogical. Skin color does not affect the tattooing process much at all.

300+ followers?! I should introduce myself. I’m Lev (sometimes Liev). I was born/raised in PDX & have been tattooing here for 5 years. When not tattooing, I also make other art- some visible on here. I’m eager to divest from apps in general, but glad to be here for now- and glad you are too.

I really hope bluesky introduces polls at some point. It would be a great step for connectivity, particularly for artists/creatives to give and receive community feedback…

Session 2/2 on this thing 🦾 Lines and about half the fill done in December, shading is fresh. Doing heavy etching/hardware contrast was a lot of fun. More huge medieval skeletons, please. #tattoo #tattooartist #scifi #collage #contemporaryart #tttism #qttr #pdxart #pdxtattoo #blackworktattoo

The right side of a large upper back tattoo on a tall white man. The tattoo features a medieval style dancing skeleton collaged over semi-abstract machine parts.

Freehand dream for Alim, drawn on with collaborative discussion and then tattooed. Getting to do these kinds of projects is such a gift! #tattoo #tattooing #tattooartist #art #pdx #pdxart #qttr #ttt #tttism #portlandoregon #portlandoregontattoo
