Reposted by NellyNelly @trimcontrols.bsky.social · 26/05/2025Very pleased to have finished my Leman Russ for my Solar Auxilia. This is quite a fun moment - with the completion of this model, I have painted everything that came in the Solar Auxilia army box that I got from my parents for my 40th birthday! 031

Reposted by NellyNelly @trimcontrols.bsky.social · 05/05/2025Some more Solar Auxilia progress, with a completed Dracosan. Whisper it, but it’s just possible I might finish the army box I got in April last year. Really like how the green has come out on this. Quite muted, but it’s pretty fitting for Heresy I would say. 052

Nelly @trimcontrols.bsky.social · 19/03/2025@mackeza.bsky.social Hi Keza, I enjoyed your consideration of AC Shadows - it would be interesting to hear your thoughts of it in contrast to Ghost of Tsushima, another beautiful historical Japan set game. Are they different enough (and the time period different enough) to be worth playing both? 000
Nelly @trimcontrols.bsky.social · 09/03/2025When did tickets for gigs become like £90 fucken pounds each? Who’s paying these ridiculous prices? 000
Nelly @trimcontrols.bsky.social · 07/03/2025Would you believe it? I have painted my first model of 2025. An addition to my Solar Auxilia. Please enjoy these poor quality photographs. 000

Nelly @trimcontrols.bsky.social · 10/01/2025A plea for help… on PS5, is there any way to invert the horizontal camera settings? I’ve never seen it not be an option in a game before. If it’s not possible, I don’t think I’m going to be able to play, and I’m £50 out of pocket ☹️ I also really want to shoot some nids. 410
Nelly @trimcontrols.bsky.social · 09/01/2025Exciting bike progress! My frame is at the painters ready for stripping, and there has been further work going on with the samplers - getting close to a final scheme now, can’t wait to see it! 100
Nelly @trimcontrols.bsky.social · 08/01/2025Way back in May 2023 I painted up a squad of Death Korps that I was very proud of, that it turned out were very difficult to photograph well (although look at that sweet sweet plasma glow)… with the Army set about to drop, I’m looking forward to painting up a few more! #deathkorps 030

For 2025, mine are - paint a Solar Auxilia army - paint a Desth Korps army So it really is the year of the unaugmented human I failed my 2024 resolution - but did achieve my 2022 resolution, so that’s good 🙂 050

Nelly @trimcontrols.bsky.social · 12/12/2024Happy Heresy Thursday everyone! Super pleased to have just put the finishing touches to a lasrifle section for my new Solar Auxilia force. Very difficult to photograph well, but I am very happy with how they are looking. 120

Nelly @trimcontrols.bsky.social · 17/11/2024Well, for better or worse (it’s worse), I’ve finished up Volkite Culverins for my Sagyar Mazan. They were looking great. GW Munitorum Varnish ruined them. I’ve done my best to rescue them, but they are not looking particularly black anymore. They’re done, I’m not happy. Don’t use GW varnish. 030
Nelly @trimcontrols.bsky.social · 11/11/2024One of my (many) projects is to work up a Slaves to Darkness army. I recently finished up these Ogroids. Pleased with how they came out. This project is a real exercise in desaturation and keeping highlights subtle. Enjoying it so far. 070
