In the Official VF Discord, a discussion about "fast" & "slow" characters led to me making an info slide to explain queuing your next action. A goal I have is to not shy away from technical or complex topics, but always try to bring it back to the game's fundamentals. #VF5REVO

A Tennessee appellate court has ruled that the killing of a woman may have been justifiable because she was trans. The court reversed a conviction, stating that the killer could have a new trial because the jury did not know the woman killed was trans. Trans panic in the modern era.

Killing of Woman May Have Been Justifiable Because She Was Trans, Tennessee Court Rules

The case is a bitter reminder of the ways LGBTQ people have had their identities weaponized by the courts in the past, most notoriously through a legal defense tactic known as gay or trans “panic.”

First Job of a Good Defender is to test the holes in the attackers ability to mix or awareness of timings.

Beating Opponents with Aggression. Don’t let them play the game if they’re strong and struggle. Force them to deal with you. Works great if you’re struggle in new matchups early in your development. Works later too but with more caveats. Suffocation no Justsu as Ryan hart says youtu.be/3ZPlNFTtgmw

People liking current series of vid cuts, here is where the conversation started. Sometimes reads feel like guesses when they are just lack of pattern variety due to not knowing something exists to be tracking. Asking the question is how you get better Ft @juiceboxfgc.bsky.social

Here is a concrete example of how to start thinking about timings along with how this relates to the mechanics of VF. Frames are still important here but so is animation similarity and reacting while stacked mentally. Ft @juiceboxfgc.bsky.social and Jamie Lee. Someone please tag him if he is here

Layered defense is required to fight and survive against stronger offensive opponents that know how to punish your lack of variety. VF is so great for that quality and is why I love it
