trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Yes. What @dt101010.bsky.social said 😁 bsky.app/profile/tric... 010
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Always excited to see what others played during the month. Here are my IRL september plays. #boardgames #bgstats 1110
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/09/2026August plays for me (offline). Daily weather will definitely become the most played game of the year (play counts not play time) because of its design. #boardgames #bgstats 091

trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 04/08/2026The Daily Weather from @buttonshy.bsky.social creating a multi-year daily puzzle with only 18 cards was a nice surprise I hadn't realized it would offer when I purchased it 010
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/08/2026July plays. What a month! Family traveling this month - so lots of small dice and card games played. #bgstats #boardgames 0100
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 26/07/2026Very sorry to hear about your week. I hope you get to play and heal as much as possible. I too find games help me relax and focus on the joys in life. I have a sign to remind me 😁 Also I really like your tracker. Did you make it yourself? 110
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 26/07/2026Me too! It's exactly the kind of vibes that I'm after in trick-takers. Simple rules with a clever but easily understandable mechanism and very portable. Not trying to be anything else. Just a clean, smooth trick-taker. 120
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 20/07/2026I ran a weekly meet up at a local library with something I called 'monthly mechanic'. Each month I had a different game mechanism. Started with an easy game and progressed each week to slightly heavier games that used the same mechanism. This allowed people to find and try mechanisms they liked. 010
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 20/07/2026It seems @buttonshy.bsky.social know the way to my solo playing heart. The Daily Weather is 4-5 minute simple yet satisfying puzzle. It changes every day, will take years to repeat itself and it does it with only 18 cards. It's the perfect morning coffee material. #boardgames #soloboardgames 060
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 14/07/2026I'm flying out of München. The home city of Dr. Reiner Knizia, who has designed over 800 board and card games. And this is the board game selection sold at the airport. Disappointed but also a little surprised. I expected more 😔 #boardgames 170
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 02/07/2026A bit late as I'm traveling but here are my June plays, sorted by total play time ti shake previous posts up. #boardgames #bgstats 050
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 17/06/2026Physically uncomfortable splaying mechanism is normal card game experience for left-handed people (and others who splay/fan left) 😆 If we do not play physically uncomfortably, then we don't see the values of our cards because they're very often only put in the top left/bottom eight corners. 110
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/06/2026A gaming group recently gave me a tshirt with a few of their favorite games that I have taught them. Not surprisingly, three games from @dnlnwmn.bsky.social are on that tshirt 😁 163
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/06/2026Yup. @dnlnwmn.bsky.social is one of my favorite publishers. Release great games I'm always excited to try. I should be forbidden to visit newmillindustries.com as I always buy way more games than the budget allows 🫣newmillindustries.comNew Mill Industries 231
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/06/2026May plays. Got Five! keeps its place at the top after swooping in and surpassing Crisps! in April (these are physical plays only). #boardgames #bgstats 1110
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 09/05/2026I have played hnefatafl (literal translation: fist-chess). I am not an expert on hnefatafl, but I am Icelandic and know my vikings. AMI (but answers limited to your daughter's questions or you pretending to ask on her behalf 😉) 020
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 09/05/2026Boardgames can turn you into a weird human being. Today I walked into a Beluga whale sanctuary. I got embarrassingly way too excited to see living anemone in a tank after having played the wonderful Enemy Anemone by @dnlnwmn.bsky.social #boardgames 081
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 02/05/2026What better day than May 1 to play Tax the Rich. I really like this one, especially with the different roles and the feminist additions. #boardgames 050
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/05/2026April plays. Crisps! was dethroned after sitting firmly at the top each month, for the first quarter of the year. I had expected Conservas to be at the top but Got Five! came out of the blue and took the spot. #boardgames 090
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 25/04/2026I backed it too. Big shoes to fill but I trust the designers to do a good job 😄 010
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 23/04/2026Like for many board gamers (I assume) playing Earth on Earth day has become kind of a tradition for me. Happy Earth day! 🌍 #boardgames 160
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 13/04/2026I've played it a few times and I like it. It's clever, especially the few but distributed cards and how you convey a lot by passing. The only thing that I've disliked is king making situations that have come up, knowing you can't win but your play determines the winner. Not a big downside though. 120
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 12/04/2026We continued our game of Clank Legacy (and also some non-Dire Wolf games: Cat in the Box, Blokus, Crisps! and Deduckto). 010
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 02/04/2026Three Cs at the top of my March plays. Crisps! still at the top but I have a feeling it won't keep that place in April. #boardgames #bgstats 091
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 18/03/2026Quality is more difficult to reason about. The feedback loop is very long and you need a lot of discipline to measure things like DORA that tell you how good your output is. 110
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 18/03/2026It's easier to measure inputs. As a manager it's easy to think about people as conveyor belt equipment. Invest in/hire new equipment/employees => increase production pipeline output. More screws the "equipment" can tighten in an hour => More output 100
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 17/03/2026It made my top 10 best new-to-me games last year. The mechanism is fun but the art is what makes the game so great. Without it, it would have been just a fine trick-traker. The art draws me in and enhances the experience. I want to play it just to be able to look at the art again. Well done! 120
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 05/03/2026Yes. The artwork is beautiful. The theme is fun. The balance and challenges are perfect. If I am just 1 sardine off, it's so easy to just reset the bag and try again thinking: "This time I know I can do it" ... and then be €1 off: "Gaah! Alright! One more time!" 010
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 05/03/2026I recently picked up Conservas by @scottalmes.bsky.social and @saltandpeppergames.bsky.social while searching for a new solo game. I've only played a few games so far but it's so addicting! It has everything I want in a solo experience: Short, simple & easy setup. #boardgamed #soloboardgames 1142
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/03/2026Great. Thanks. I didn't even know about Online board gamers 010
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/03/2026Cards rule everything around me February plays. Lots of card games. Crisps! by @shreesh.bsky.social (and @dnlnwmn.bsky.social) reigns supreme and keeps its 1st place spot from January. #boardgames #bgstats 1101
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 25/02/2026I use @aftergame.app for this without having to pay anyone any money for showing up. People show up for free if they have a chance to play a game 020
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 10/02/2026I can recommend. Easily game of the year for me and it's only February. Small box you can take anywhere. Perfect play time for game weight and player count. Has become the 'night cap' for me and my daughter (one game of Crisps! before she goes to sleep... if it's not too late) 030
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/02/2026January plays. I finally got Crisps (and Dickory along with a few other games I purchased) from @dnlnwmn.bsky.social and I immediately know Crisps is going to be a top list game for 2026. Can't get enough. #bgstats #boardgames 1110
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 30/01/2026I had to check if there was really a film about her. Turns out there is but I wonder if IMDB result on Google knows something we don't 🤔 100
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 26/01/2026I may have found my favorite trick-taking game with a trump suit. 010
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 19/01/2026Really cool. I need a buddycon like that. I could only bring four of the games: 3 Tricky Pigs, Piñatas, Matchstick Tycoon, and Mystery Tricks. All games I really like except I haven't tried Mystery Tricks. The memory/card counting aspect of it doesn't sound too exciting. 110
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 07/01/2026I came here to mention Button Shy as well. I had surgery in November. Games I had in the hospital: Button Shy Games Simply Solo series (here I am playing A Nice Cuppa on a hospital bed table), A Carnivore Did It, and Formidable Farm. After I got home I played a lot of A Gentle Rain during recovery. 120
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 03/01/2026It will be Black Widow, Iron-Man and Captain Marvel vs Red Skull 110
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 03/01/2026I now got a chance to play Marvel United. Not as painted and beautiful as yours but it's going to be fun to try out the game. 110
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 02/01/2026Yes! They're quite fun. Short puzzles each day until holiday stress takes over and then you feel bad when you have to finish it "next year" (my wife and I still have 2 days left of the 2025 calendar that we aim to finish this month). 100
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/01/2026I did it! These are my non-digital plays of the year and I managed to play a physical board game every single day of 2025! I basically did a full year #spielmas #boardgames #bgstats 2140
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/01/2026Last day of the year and the sixth and last day of #spielmas Three different games played. Two making a reappearance but one new. So concludes my first Spielmas. It's been fun and a very good way to end this spectacular year. #boardgames 031
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 01/01/2026December plays. After the November injury I finally got back to a large amount of daily plays second half of December but still managed a daily play in December. #boardgames #bgstats 1100
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 31/12/2025Fifth day of #spielmas and I'm back at 3 different games but only one making a reoccurrence. Now there's only one day left of Spielmas and one day left of the year and then a big reveal as to why spielmas was pretty special to me this year. #boardgames 061
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 30/12/2025Fourth day of #spielmas and what a day. Five different games played. We're gonna need a bigger hexagon. Size of game components does not reflect size of game but there are a few very obscure games this time around. #boardgames 041
trickvi @trickvi.bsky.social · 30/12/2025Correct. It's my second most played game of the year. It will probably make another entry on the #spielmas list before year end so now I'll have to choose a different token for it 😁 110
