I've never played Borderlands. I had no idea what was going on in this movie. But the line up of Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Black and Kevin Hart is truly shocking.

Watched with a friend after their suggestion of it as a bad rom-com and... I think it fell short of even that description.

The wife and I made our way down to Tacoma this morning and this view is just so magical. It's almost better that the mountain isn't as obvious as she can be.

I put this on for Katie and I last night and was surprised just how much I enjoyed it. It's not a cinematic masterpiece but it delivers on everything I wanted out of this sort of movie.

Last night I deployed 5Flix.day's Movie Rank feature. This is my personal Elo movie ranking tool. It's very new and likely to run into issues. But you can visit the website and go sign up: 5flix.day/rank/ The email arrived perfectly easy for me for a new account but let me know if you have issues.

I didn't love Disclosure Day. I do think it's interesting how many movies Spielberg has done about aliens. ET, War of the Worlds, Disclosure Day He didn't direct but he was part of MIB's first movie

Another project I'm poking at. I've had this idea for a while. This is a chess app and what it does is it shows you how the engine is thinking and what squares are most commonly coming up in the lines the engine is considering.

I've been lax in updating this. I've been working through "He Who Fights Monsters" audiobooks. Currently on book 3 of the series. An enjoyable, if perhaps a bit uneven, LitRPG. An interesting aspect is the Aussie humor and references throughout the series.

The first writing session wasn't actually that long. I had done a bit of writing outside my tracking app and so I estimated the total time I'd used to write it. But the current story is growing steadily as I figure out what it is. Almost 19k words in a week and a half.
