@kagi.com Hi Kagi Team? Any update on when the free search portal is appearing? I'm waiting to demonstrate the power of Kagi to colleagues who don't want to sign up for a trial in a bid to convince them there's a better way to search :)

Glad to hear Safari Extension Support coming, because the FF/Chrome Extensions for 1Password just do not work on iPadOS and have been a major blocker for me. Only other thing on my wishlist would be iCloud Private Relay support for feature parity.

A certain location in Hobart is seriously taking this piss in charging $26 for what amounts to a Chicken Salad Roll. (Crumbed chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, cheese, aoli). #hobart cc:bsky

Any sort of technical search actually getting me to technical pages, rather than sponsored links to a page which would tell me that I could do what I wanted by using sponsored product.

We truly live in a techtopian hypeocracy and it is driving me insane, having just received yet another training course advertisment for “Generative AI for Everyone”, promising “Practical Exercises in crafting AI Prompts and optimising Outputs.” #techtopian #hypeocracy #betteroffline #antiai cc:bsky

I mean yea...some of the things from LTT (like the FreeNAS incident a couple of years back) have certainly made me wonder what the hell is going on over there. I agree the Linux Desktop has improved a lot, but will remain niche without it being adopted wholesale in the business space.

And a shout out to @edzitron.com because his articles are really what inspired me to write anything at all and helped me believe I was not the only one out there who thinks LLM's are not society's saviour.

Is there any chance you could update your blog post to explain what “1 Million Tokens” means in real terms for people who are not familiar with GenAI Pricing? how many page summaries could that be?

flakyj.blogspot.com . More impressively the US’s National Library of Medicine has many papers written on the phenomena: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/?term=pred… I really didn’t expect there to be this much coverage of it! #scams #infosec #academia #spam cc:bsky

I have been thoroughly going down the rabbit hole of predatory academic journals and conferences (!) this morning after my mail message blocklist hitting a milestone. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Predatory_pub… Which led me to beallslist.net and then to the highly entertaining

I don't know why I bother trying to mulch the garden, it seems within a couple of hours the blackbirds have dug it all out of the garden and back onto the paths and lawns. rinse and repeat. Infuriating.

I know I didn't say Kagi Mail. Like most others have said, there already plenty of players in this space, please stick to providing a great search platform.
