folks who aren't familiar with the series might just know Narnia as "that book series with a Jesus Lion" but I gotta say, reading it as a kid, I did not make that connection at all the books have so much fun stuff Tons of talking animals Mythical creatures doing mundane tasks Dragon TF (once)

I still remember the first time I saw the logline for Megamind, I got so excited for it (I think it was still called MasterMind at some point) and I watched the movie with my siblings, and we had the best time It was so funny, unique, and clever, and we still quote the movie a ton #TribLikesStuff

I feel that even today, some people who have never seen the first (or second) Kung Fu Panda movies are turned off by the marketing, the title, the posters, and just the reputation that kids & family movies had in the 2000s I'd say give at least KFP a shot if you haven't already uwu <3

I remember dismissing Kung Fu Panda after seeing the poster We were in the era of manic 2000s kids movies 'it's probably some kiddy movie with low brains and high action' but nope I'll always remember and appreciate the shock of how thoughtful and heartfelt Kung Fu Panda was on my first watch

Happy 32nd Anniversary to Dreamworks Animation!! In celebration of their founding (on October 12th 1994), I wanted to share my favorite Dreamworks animated movies from over the years 🥰❤️ #TribLikesStuff (Dreamworks movies can often fool us by how their posters look, hiding a true gem of a movie)

Megamind, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, The Bad Guys, The Prince of Egypt, Kung Fu Panda, Forgotten Island, Shrek 2, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda 2

The writing will definitely be the thing I focus upon the most in Avatar Seven Havens Their characters so far seem quite lovely. Jae is my favorite so far. What I'm more interested in is their overaching narrative, and their plans. What's going on here, and are they going to pay it off well?

I'm really excited for more Avatar Seven Havens uwu <3 It's just nice to be back in this world, now with new mysteries to unfold, and discoveries to reveal I also just love the soft colorful art style the animation's less fluid, but it kinda add to the coziness #TribLikesStuff

P.P.S. I love puns, so... if you put the stress on the second syllable ("ta-YO na") then the phrase means: "stand up now." Jo says this to Raissa once while she's sitting. Accidental possible pun.

050

Trib's full cast of OCs @tribdinosaur.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

P.S. in certain contexts, the phrase "tayo na" means "we are together" in a romantic sense. So, Jo x Raissa / RaiJo shippers go nuts. :3 #ForgottenIsland

150

Trib's full cast of OCs @tribdinosaur.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

That's all! That's why I don't think they're wrong to use Tayo na, because if it's a catchphrase, then it could be any string of words or letters. Like wapoosh.

160

Trib's full cast of OCs @tribdinosaur.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

My simple theory is this: tayo na is Jo's catchphrase. The phrase makes sense literally, even if it sounds a bit formal and oldie to modern Tagalog speakers. Because between Jo and Raissa, it is their battlecry. A signal of trust.

160

Trib's full cast of OCs @tribdinosaur.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

(not spoilers) There was a lil bit of debate amongst Filipinos when "tayo na" was used in the promos for Forgotten Island, instead of the colloquial and more natural-sounding: "tara na".

one of my favorite aspects of the movie are the 2D segments the art style is soooo reminiscient of comics styles of the 2000s, when I was in grade school / high school I guess we all had similar influences, and thus a style formed as we all learned from each other

020

The funny thing is, Forgotten Island isn't even that perfect of the movie uwu I think its flaws can be quite glaring And yet I love this movie, and I love the details and passion for art that's so evident in every aspect I so want the art book for this...even seeing the concept art is inspiring

Sansa did get a "happy" ending all things considered What I'm sad about is how her cleverness and empathy was replaced with a hardcore emotionless statue by the end If the progression to that point was more well-written, I'd accept it better, but as it is, it feels like they just forgot

It is really sad how badly the series nosedived I used to love discussing themes and writing from Game of Thrones, but that disappeared eventually and Magaery Tyrell and Sansa Stark were shaping up to be my favorite characters, but they went and butchered their stories for cheap Hollywood moments
