But agents refuse to let him get life saving MRI. Doctors can't treat him—because agents won't remove ankle monitor. Can't scan his internal body damage because ankle monitor interferes with hospital scanners. His additional injuries include—black eyes, significant bruising, cuts & 7 stitches on his lip. Whatever force agents used was so significant that his brain has blocked all memories of the trauma. Don José Mejía has lived in the U.S. for the past 18 years with no criminal record.
