Finally got the chance to read this article, and I consider it required reading for anyone who considers themselves a raver and intends to stand with PLUR.

Ravers speak of P.L.U.R. (a hippie acronym standing for “peace, love, unity, and respect”) but their lives are built around a decision to look away from the yawning brutalities of the imperial order, whether in India or Palestine. This denial is so privileged and irresponsible that it tends to align with whiteness and wealth. Israelis tripping to the point of physical and mental collapse are said to be “flipping out.” A person who has “flipped out” is called falupe. Goa overflows with Israeli all-night ravers who look inside themselves, ignore the world around them, and elect to obliterate their senses, all as they listen to psychedelic trance.

this is so humiliating to post again but being a disabled person who has to support multiple other people in his home on one income is very taxing 🥲 i'm also on a cheap insurance plan that doesn't cover much so if i need an emergency procedure i'm not sure what billing will look like either. sigh.

I'm honest to god so surprised I managed to get my print settings this good on my first try. The stringing wasn't that bad and it's dense while still being flexible enough to be sturdy. I might have struck gold with this thing.

Thank you for all the love on this! Here are some work in progress shots.

Preliminary underpainting and sketch of the painting in the original post, showing a layer of orange paint and darker brown sketch strokes painted on top.

The aforementioned piece, now partially rendered with the grass and sky finished, and the orange and yellow parts of the inflatable partially rendered.

The piece nearing completion, with everything painted except for the eyes. It is also notably missing details from the original piece.
