government loans/equity can become Etihad’s "liquidity" but Etihad went further than that: it *explicitly* said the claim that Abu Dhabi’s government paid for City’s sponsorship was false, and said Etihad itself funded it. That’s the contradiction.

-this is not the crux of the Premier League argument -AD agreeing to stop subsidies into Etihad in 2018 does not mean that Man City did not inflate sponsorship revenue listings using money directly from ADUG, especially in instances they purposefully listed sponsorship and ADUG money as separate
