Growing up with German & Polish neighbors we had it. But we made our own style: hamburger, tomato sauce, a packet of taco seasoning added to al dente elbow macaroni & heat. Called it Chili Mac, served with corn bread, yum. My own kids loved it, my husband & I still have it in the colder months.

Did a 2-part prep mixture in May. 1st part was okay, 2nd part was intense & immediate! It was awful, awful, awful for about 2 hours. When I reported this to the nurse at check-in, Her: "yes, the 1st primes the pump, the 2nd rapidly clears the deck, sometimes from both ends". Me: Beware!

I grew up there, but gotta say here on the Left Coast, Chino Farms (Rancho Santa Fe) & Yasukochi Family Farm (Oceanside) have heavenly sweet corn. Also, Palombo Farm's Peaches & Cream sweet corn & Olathe sweet corn in Colorado! (Still miss Sakata Farms sweet corn, it was grand! I dream of it!)
