Anakin/Padme 4-cell meme. Anakin says "I just learned JavaScript so I'm going to do everything in JavaScript". Padme, laughing, says "But not data storage". Anakin stares at her intently with a slight smirk. Padme says "not data storage right?" with growing concern.

Just fixed a bug that was 100% caused by me doing math past my bedtime yesterday, resulting in some conditional code that in hindsight reminds me of the spiders-on-drugs experiments.
One photo of a spider web labelled "Drug-Naive", and a second photo of a web labelled "Caffeinated". The first photo depicts a well ordered, classic spider-web structure that resembles a net. The web in the second photo has little in common with the first: it is much more sparse; few of the lines draw to a middle point, which is indiscernible anyway; the strands are of varying thickness and the structure is overall chaotic and irregular.

"Tap here" make the text flash and has no other effect. Could the pile of CORS failures in the console have something to do with it? Probably. I guess pushing the proper headers is not the vibe though.

I'm finally going to block them, but I noticed a few mutuals follow them, so here's some notice.

You might enjoy this pic I took when I briefly moved back there during COVID lockdown.
Foreground: a blue shopping cart with prominent Party City label; background: a dark body of water with scattered vegetation and far bank with bushes and trees visible; middle-ground: an official sign stating "Do Not Feed or Disturb the Alligators" and in smaller text "No fishing or swimming".

Yes of course there are plenty of people who want the book they read to be made slightly more real by presentation in A/V. But a lot of us are let down because we want people to see an adaptation and understand why the source material is so dear to us, and the adaptation is too divergent for that.
Image of a Bluesky post, unattributed because the author has replies and quote posts disabled so they clearly don't want dialogue: "i truly cannot grasp the minds of people who watch film or tv adaptations of books they like just hoping to see the page rendered exactly on the screen. a completely alien way of moving through the world."

Well I hoped I could say they started the right edge at the same place and just shifted everything left but the hardcover does have more illustration where that exposed endpaper is. My sympathies.

Reminds me of the Clockseed album art.
Album art for "Clockseed" by Vampire Rodents. A fanged mouse leans from a grassy shore to reach a red pool. There are red blooms among the grass and the art style is somewhat realism for a children's book.

My first was, confusingly, #228 which immediately followed The Fall of the Mutants. It was that Wolvie/Dazzler flashback bottle episode. I marched right back to the convenience store and bought the one very tattered copy of 227 they had because I NEEDED more.

I like this guy.
"This is a tech solution to a social problem exaggerated by tech. I do not want to promote techsolutionism nor do I want people to feel falsely secure. It's still imperfect," Jeanrenaud added."Obviously, surveillance tech is not only abused by government thugs, it's also a tech boosting misogynistic behaviour and rape culture," Jeanrenaud said.

Here's the only Q3A screenshot I kept from beta. No glow on the quad damage pickup. Visor's skin is different. Fewer polygons and lower resolution textures. The rocker launcher didn't change much though.
Screenshot of Quake 3 before retail release. The character named Visor is facing the viewer, holding a rocket launcher. A "quad damage" pickup hovers to his side.

I am delighted to announce that my night-blooming cereus flowered for the first time last night.
Immense white petaled flowers, overlapping in a cup shape with a spray of outer petals behind.

What video game ignited your passion for gaming? ColecoVision was my first home console, and while Donkey Kong was engaging it was difficult in the "hard to play the game" way not because the game design was challenging. Mousetrap, however, was dynamic and complex, and showed me what was possible.
