I borrowed a PS5 from a friend just to play Astro Bot. Great game but once that scratch was itched, I've never wanted to touch that system since, lol. DK Bananza has since replaced Astro Bot as my modern 3D platformer of choice.

Here's a new idea for the Nintendo Directs. If a company is doing a "Physical" release on GKC that can actually be put on a proper cart, their games DO NOT get to be featured in a Nintendo Direct. No more Nintendo advertising for dogshit physical releases.

I'm thankful for these but also very pissed off that they charge $5 for Xenoblade Chronicles X to only get 60fps and arguably "Improved" visuals. The various other $10 game "upgrades" aren't much better.

Just beat the huge Switch 2 demo for Duskfade from developer Weird Beluga and publisher @fireshinegames.bsky.social. Absolutely loved it and it nails the early 2000's 3D Platformer vibe. Really hoping we get a proper physical release on Switch 2 as I'll be all over it, lol. PLAY THIS DEMO!

It's honestly a big problem with many modern remakes, there is just SOO much padding and needless busy work added to make the games longer and it does hurt the pacing and enjoyment. I noticed it in titles such as the FF7 Remakes, RE2/RE4, Silent Hill 2, etc.

While im not personally into GTA, it always confused me that Rockstar put Bully and Manhunt 2 on Wii but not the GTA series. Vice City and San Andreas could have been huge hits. Especially with the Wii Remote aiming that could have greatly improved the gunplay.
