Trent Hipp @trenthipp.com · 10/01/2025Tomorrow will start an interesting phase of my life where I move back onto a college campus. New University. New City. Excited but still have a feeling of something I can’t put my finger on. 010
Trent Hipp @trenthipp.com · 11/12/2024Thank you @kylesherling.bsky.social for the recommendation! (At least I think it was you who recommended it.) 110
Trent Hipp @trenthipp.com · 11/12/2024First post-SBL book done. Started on Friday and couldn’t get away from reading it. @mattthiessen.bsky.social provides an incredibly convincing argument and I am excited to dive further into the topic. Definitely a perfect primer into the subject matter. 270

Trent Hipp @trenthipp.com · 26/11/2024I was thinking something similar. I would if there is a way to create an adjustment in algorithms for databases that would provide diversity amongst scholarship in searches. 010
Trent Hipp @trenthipp.com · 25/11/2024My advice for any first timers these last 2 days: Go up to someone in your field and introduce yourself. Walk up to a group and ask if you can join their meal. Meet people! On the flip side, you are more than your research. These don’t only have to be colleagues, they can become friends as well! 120
Trent Hipp @trenthipp.com · 25/11/2024As much as I have enjoyed papers, a major thing I missed out on at SBL2023 was receptions. Receptions have been a game changer for me this year, not only getting to hear ideas but talk about projects I am working through! On top of that just getting to meet incredible people who care! #sblaar2024 161
Trent Hipp @trenthipp.com · 24/11/2024Can’t tease cause I bought the book now so I would get the mug with it! 021
Trent Hipp @trenthipp.com · 21/11/2024I wish I had been better about brain dumping last year. So many lost rabbit holes! 120
Trent Hipp @trenthipp.com · 20/11/2024When traveling to SBL/AAR, what signs do you look for that someone might be going to the conference as well? Last year I spotted many people by the books they were reading. #sblaar24 240
Trent Hipp @trenthipp.com · 16/11/2024The official app is pushing SBLAAR this year. This is only my second year, do they flip it every year? 010
Trent Hipp @trenthipp.com · 16/11/2024Wandering around and meeting people mostly. Hopefully hear some good papers to get some thoughts rolling as well. 000
