Same, going from a cat that you have to be careful around with touching lest you lose skin to a cat you can grab, hug, belly rub without danger is so new... I love it. Not everyone is convinced though

Some time left until the huge kiwis (plural, yes) are ready, but these I will get help because there is no way I can do this alone, plus several friends said they were interested (and I don't know how to preserve/bake with these). On the plus side it appears they don't mature all st the same time...

L'arbre du coin de la cour jauni, des pousses grillées sur un Acacia reticulodes, une bonne partie des feuilles du petit érable passées en mode croustillant, et un ensemble dont pas une plante n'a des feuilles brûlées. Tout ça sur les 3 derniers jours, sur des plantes arrosées 2x par jour.

Petite branche d'acacia portant des bourgeons de fleur. La dernière pousse est brune et sèche, le reste est bien vert

The beast is an attempt at reproducing a picture from a korean ceramic book in the studio. Reverse image search led me to wikipedia, where the picture legend helpfully identified it as a Baekje urinal from the Three Kingdoms period. Urinal or not, I love it. #ceramics, #pottery

Moving them under cover before tomorrow's rainstorm So many pretties ! I have not been there for two weeks, the Aeonium are very sun stressed and have completely darkened, I will move them to lower light (they were outside at this place for 2 month, but the return of full sun was a bit much)

Further inspection led to the horrific realisation that this is not even the largest snail in a radius of 50cm, by far. Funny, there were no damage at all until two nights ago (and it had not rained for 4 days), despite the month of rain before. The temperature ? Will re-hunt later.

Some of my new pretties, hope they don't suffer the same fate... Echeveria 'Pink Lychee', 'PinkAngel Variegata', 'Blueberry', and 'Snowflake Jenny'. A good way to use my pottery. There were not enough pots for all, so I will have to make more, so sad... 🌱

Fun with plants: these two papyrus cuttings were at the same height in my (very algae full) aquarium 3 weeks ago, with roots going straight down. The left one has now "pulled" itself down and attached to a stone. Same happened in my big aquarium, it went from just below the surface to the ground

And the crab effigy vessel is mostly done ! There will be some fine tuning, and adding white slip, but normally no larger change. I think it is too triangular in the back, and the legs are improvised, but I only had pictures from the front. #SciArt, #pottery, #ceramics

Crab! Crab! Crab! Crab! Crab! Stirrup in place, firming up. I was very worried on how it would hold but I ended up cutting hole and spout in bias to increase the contact surface (so not like in the 2nd picture) and force fitting it in after scratching and adding slip. Now it might ok.
