This is so sad. And so utterly symbolic

@herminator12.bsky.social I’m so happy to find you here! I miss you on TikTok, where there some folks concerned that your account being gone there meant you had been silenced

I had all the DS9 relaunch books, trotting down to my local Barnes and Noble to buy every new one. Devoured the continuation of my favorite Star Trek story. Then life happened and I slimmed down everything. Didn’t realize I could never get those books back. I am so angry with my short-sighted self

This may come as a shock that Star Trek fans take things too seriously, but I really think people are taking the wall of names and their ranks way too seriously. It’s not the central plot of the show. It’s a bunch of fun Easter eggs. If a future show needs to ignore them, they will. Go touch grass.

Hi. I’m the universal translator in Star Trek. I will translate everything in real time even making lip movements match. Occasionally I will switch off when someone really wants to speak a different language than the listener

While unlikely couples happen in real life, what bugs me is when Mark makes disparaging comments to his sister about Ricken, she doesn’t defend her husband, which me think, what are you doing with this guy? Even if it’s great sex, that doesn’t magically make you respect someone you can’t respect

No one worth being a friend would hate you Sophie. You’ve been open about your journey, that’s a lot of pressure to out on yourself

Starts off strong then goes completely off the rails before finishing with the preposterous lizard babies. Too bad because the initial concept was interesting

That and Dan Quayle spelling potato wrong. Those were the days

Treklover @treklover.bsky.social · 19/01/2025

That happened to a good friend of mine a couple years back. He’s still sober, and so shall you be. You didn’t fail shit, in fact you passed with flying colors

Happy Birthday Captain Nog! The episode where Nog convinces Sisko to recommend him to Starfleet remains one of my all-time faves. He didn’t want to diss his dad, but he had to explain why the opportunity meant so much. Acting master class by the dearly missed Aaron Eisenberg

“Just because he’s 60! What’s 60? It’s nothing” more relatable every passing year

This ep touches me more deeply as I age. It’s the first lwaxana episode where we are treated to the deep complexities of her character. Timison finds her “delightful” after years of watching Picard’s skin crawl. Michelle Forbes as the angry daughter absolutely slays

I have Roku paramount plus and I can’t get rid of that button for love or money. First time it really irritated me was during Picard opening credits, which are stunning

010

Treklover @treklover.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

I find it really annoying that you can’t get rid of the button if you want to just enjoy the opening credits without the distracting blaring white button

So how ‘bout a top twenty? :)

I feel like an obvious one or two stand-out episodes is missing from this list but I’m drawing a blank. Can anyone help me out?

Treklover @treklover.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

I have to admit, I’m glad mariner explained the “engage the core” joke because I wouldn’t have gotten it :)

I had to keep hitting the “back ten seconds” button cause I couldn’t believe what I was seeing ;)

Treklover @treklover.bsky.social · 13/12/2024

Cripes I have to rewatch to figure out what exactly you’re saying here

What a treat! Can’t wait to rewatch! Masterful :)

I rewatched the one where Kirk fights the Gorn, I hadn’t seen it in many years. I was howling with laughter, particularly when voiceover Kirk says that the Gorn “took a beating that would have killed any man”
