Things I wish were recorded, getting to meet everyone appearing on stage and getting to recreate the corridor scene from Picard Season 3 and telling Todd Stashwick that he can't order me around anymore now that he's dead. #cosplay #summercon

3 years ago today. Recovering from a severe spine/neck/shoulder injury and on ALL the painkillers, but it was worth it to meet these two with my own Imzadi. Oh and I'm taller than Riker. #cosplay #summercon

A Mathematically Perfectly Normal Number of Executive Orders

Star Trek-inspired meme title card showing a starship flying over a dark blue-green planet in space, with a purple-glowing planet and bright star in the background. Large blue italic text reads, “A Mathematically Perfectly Normal Number of Executive Orders.”

And the rest. I have a lot of stuff still packed up from my old work office and the move to my home office but it will all get settled eventually.

A collection shelf with Star Trek Funko Pop figures on the top level and multiple Star Trek ship models displayed below, including a tall central space station model.

A Star Trek display with boxed Funko Pop figures of characters including Quark, Jean-Luc Picard, Jack Crusher, Captain Janeway, Raffi Musiker, and Seven of Nine, with ship models below.

A mixed Star Trek collectibles display with Funko Pop figures and boxed figures on the top shelf, and many Star Trek ship models arranged on stands across the lower shelf.

Two shelves of Star Trek model ships displayed in a dark wood bookcase. Several ships are arranged on black stands, with clear acrylic risers creating multiple levels.

The model meetup was absolutely worth the drive. He and his family were incredibly welcoming, and seeing his modeling work in person was even more impressive than the photos online. Had a great time talking Trek, models, and collecting. Really grateful for the meetup. 🙏🏼 The haul w/ my collection.1/2

A large Star Trek model collection displayed across two shelves, with Federation ships, alien vessels, and small craft arranged on black stands and clear risers.

A crowded Star Trek ship display with multiple Federation, Klingon, and alien vessels arranged across two shelves, including a large space station model near the center.

A Star Trek model display shelf with four ships on stands, including a shuttle-like craft and several Federation-style starships, arranged on clear acrylic risers.

Two shelves of Star Trek models in a dark bookcase. The upper shelf has two Enterprise-style starships, while the lower shelf includes a Borg cube and several other ships.

Responding to both replies: That makes sense. I thought it was a kind of violence/death related thing overall. But specifically in regard to suicide makes a great deal of sense. In the states, you can't show it on open air broadcast. Just a mention gets the "if you or anyone you know..." banner.

I'll look up the Samaritan guidelines while riding across town later today but how do horror/gore movies handle this over there?

#StarfleetAcademy's "The Life of the Stars" starts out slowly but then, the episode really hit me hard and got me in the feels. I'm glad I went into this without spoilers and I know exactly which episode we are going to watch after this one on our Friday #StarTrek night. :-)

I also think these basement dwellers have never seen a large hand. I closed up my left hand in the same position and it takes the same shape as in this drawing.

It's probably just a style that came back. After all, time travel had now been outlawed, no need to stop repeating uniform designs to tell what time period someone is from. This captain probably loved those uniforms and set them as the uniform for his ship. The possibilities are endless!

Wonder Man was amazing. My only complaint is that there isn't more.

So, it seems to me that Prodigy was cancelled because it was going to be too similar to Academy. There is a lot here that seems lifted straight from Prodigy.

FWIW, he doesn't want -states- to do the tax. He wants it to be Federal, so the billionaires can't move states to get out of it.

Since day one, Star Trek has been boldly political — it's not just about rank, phasers, & space. It has & continues to tackle racism, gender, war, & more. It's a reflection of us, at our best & worst, dressed in starships and aliens. If that's not human and political, what is?
