Haven't rendered something just for fun in a while! Here's Star Trek Online's USS Enterprise from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. SNW Constitution-Class by @ramonmatas.bsky.social ! (based on the Discovery-Era model by Donny Versiga) Shuttlecraft by me :)

A view from the ventral starboard angle, looking from the fore of the ship. The USS Enterprise (from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) hangs in space. It's shuttle, the Alvarez, flies next to it. A faint blue nebula can be seen behind. The scene is lit by a distant orange-yellow star and blue light.

An overhead view of the USS Enterprise (from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) with its shuttle, the Alvarez, flying beside it. It is set upon a pale blue and orange nebula, and lit by a nearby star.

Strange but I feel myself happy and heartbroken at the same time. I know maybe no one will read this, but I needed this place to write my heart out over this. Thank you.

Yesterday I met my godfather's wife. She informed me they will take him to a nursing home today. Also received my daughter's painting back that I gave him last time I visited. She said a day later he looked at it, drew his finger around the silhouette, and said, "it's the spaceship".

How do you call this person in English: husband of my grandmother's second cousin daughter. I asked AI but it said he is "the husband of third cousin once removed". Is it the correct expression?

Every year I spend some time with reading tragic stories about heroic people who died this day in 2001. This year it's Mychal Judge priest, Moira Smith officer and Welles Crowther aka "The Man In The Red Bandana". RIP.

This year's Star Trek anniversary won't be the best for me, but memorable as I will keep bearing the torch for my Trekkie daughter (she's an ENT girl :)) and for my Trekkie godfather and believe in a better future.

Balazs Kay @trefayne.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

His family and my parents keep saying he is slowly going away and won't be around soon. But Star Trek taught me that I should never give up hope and I should believe in better future, even when odds are the lowest and against time. This worked always in my life, so I keep doing it.

We travelled a lot together in those years when he was single, inside the country and in few neighboring countries, visiting less known attractions, castles. And yet watched TNG together sometimes. Now I was sitting there, talking and recalling these memories. He was smiling when remembered them.

Balazs Kay @trefayne.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

His family called me on phone that I should visit him now, because it might be the last time to see him as he was... So I met him, talked to him. He was happy to see me and recognized me fully. I felt that the young strong man who taught me a lot about carpentry, how to mow traditionally.

"No worries. Some things will change, but I will be here." Why am I telling this now? He is one of the few inspirational people in my life who knows and likes Star Trek. He is a TNG guy, watched all seasons and few of other series. He said he likes Captain Archer as well, but always a Picard fan.

Had a rather emotional day today. I met my godfather, my mother's youngest brother, in his home. He was diagnosed with brain tumour 6 months ago, then had a serious operation two months ago. I met him before the operation, as he always had a positive attitude in life, so he tried to comfort me.
