Tree Servant @treeservant.bsky.social · 28/06/2026Like this right now. Attacking 2 countries “threatens to unravel”? I’d say peace talks are pretty much a tangle of yarn on the floor. I’m talking about the state of journalism, not the military strategy of any one country. 020
Tree Servant @treeservant.bsky.social · 07/05/2026Finally found a patch of camas thick enough to photograph. Usually it looks spectacular gazing at it across the meadow, then hardly shows up in the picture. 000
Tree Servant @treeservant.bsky.social · 13/04/2026Before and after of a day of hand releasing Oregon white oak from invasive English hawthorn. The hawthorn grows vinelike up into the canopy and is toxic to the oak branches. It starts at the base of the trunk from seeds dropped by birds. This time of year there are thousands of tiny sprouts. 020
Tree Servant @treeservant.bsky.social · 13/04/2026It’s definitely escalated since I snagged these off twitter in 2020. It wasn’t him that posted these, though. 010

Tree Servant @treeservant.bsky.social · 03/02/2026Well the Portland Oregon (OR) subreddit has tons of folks claiming the “Head of Antifa” title as of now. Wild when you need to say what state the city is in that’s being attacked by the feds. 110
Tree Servant @treeservant.bsky.social · 29/12/2025I was reading this article about HEPA filters because hubby painted some nasty smelly stuff on the wood stove. It took a strange turn. @theaifix.show @grahamcluley.com @ai-fix-mark.bsky.social 220
Tree Servant @treeservant.bsky.social · 17/12/2025Today’s oak rescue was ground-cutting hawthorn (mostly), multiflora rose and Himalaya blackberry from around the trunk of this ancient Oregon white oak. What’s left is mostly snowberry. 000

Tree Servant @treeservant.bsky.social · 29/09/2025Tree Servant worked on releasing a couple white oaks from their invasive English hawthorn prison today. Didn’t get completely finished, but got it out of the canopy and away from the trunk. Found a serviceberry in the hawthorn jungle. 010
Tree Servant @treeservant.bsky.social · 08/07/2025An Oregon hazel surrounded by snowberry and sword fern. None of this was planted. Volunteer seedlings were carefully weeded and given a little water in the summer for 15 years. It takes laborious, sustained work to root out the bullies. #nativeplants 070

Tree Servant @treeservant.bsky.social · 07/05/2025After a lot of rain in the winter, it was a dry April in the Willamette Valley. The Oso berry leafed out strong and doesn’t have the rust problem it often gets. 110
Tree Servant @treeservant.bsky.social · 09/04/2025So true. This is my grandmother and a couple of her kids; this would have been early 1920s. They were average income. I am always surprised at how poor people looked in family photos until after about 1945. 060
