Some of them are already fixed and deployed. Like better trail and segment detection. We will continually be updating and improving the appview and UI. So expect changes. Next up, Group runs and a hardened Strava bulk import. Were testing that now so you may see many new activities come and go.

Weve had an influx of users in the last 12 hours! @pyxorium.com officially became the first non @larakin.systems account to share an acitivity. That activity share increased traffic to our appview exponentially. That uncovered lots of backed and fronted issues.

once private spaces land, the full original can live there and the public record keeps only the trimmed geometry. question: is "warn now, spaces later" the right call? or would you trim the published file, even though that means rewriting the user's data?

follow-up on trimming. our rule: you own your data, so we store your original file untouched. we don't rewrite it. hideStartEndMeters is a contract for appviews: good ones trim the map, but the raw blob stays public, and we'll tell people that when they turn the trim on

That test is perfect, thanks. Going with one world.treeline.defs for geometry, gradeStats and registry IDs, plus a coordinate shape, since that crosses 4 records and fixes most of the unknowns. One-house shapes stay put.

🔒 Private activities If your PDS supports the new ATProto Spaces, you can upload to a private diary that only you can see. The feed has All | Private tabs. Private activities can't be reshared or reacted to. Hosts without Spaces yet show "Coming soon".

The Treeline activity feed on the Private tab. A green banner reads "Personal Space Enclave Active: only you can view these private workouts." Three activity cards are each marked with a lock and "Private", and show a map, distance, elevation and duration.

🚧 Trail conditions Post a condition report (dry, muddy, closed…) right from a trail. Reports are written to your PDS as world.treeline.condition.report records and fade out after 14 days, so the map shows current conditions, not old ones.

The "Report Trail Condition" form for Hidden Valley Trail. Condition options include Clear/Open, Minor Issues, Wet/Muddy, Snow/Ice, Tree Fall, Flowing Water, Dry and Closed. There are severity levels from Info to Closure, a notes field, an expiry choice of 3, 7, 14 or 30 days (14 by default) and an optional photo. A note says the report is stored in your own ATProto repository.

🏆 Top Results Every activity now gets a results card: PRs, 2nd/3rd best, and course records (CRs) on the segments you rode. Leaderboards now run on proper segment-effort indexing, so they're much faster.

Activity detail for a 39 km mountain bike ride called "Long way to the Brewery". A Top Results card lists segment rankings: 2nd place on Hidden Valley Trail and Upper Grabens, and course records (CR) on 8 Bells Trail, Hogs Foot Trail and Mesa Connector, each with its time. Below it, matched trails show how much of each trail the ride covered.

The Treeline Explore page in dark mode. A dark topographic map shows purple and orange GPS tracks spread around Durango, Colorado. A side panel lists 59 routes, with filters for sport, distance and elevation, and layer toggles for trails, activities, segments and curated routes.
