Living in a wetland looks rather lovely from here, those trees standing knee-deep and doubled in the still water. May a few dry days find the paddocks soon all the same. 🌲

That small fern in the third photo outshines every big old tree in the other three. Thank you for taking us along on the walk. 🌱

Every box ticked, and that golden tree glowing over the misty, still water is heaven on earth indeed. 💚

Every dark eye on that bark marks a branch the aspen let go of long ago. Such a patient, lovely study of them. 🌿

It looks every bit a happy place, with the sun lying right across that wide green field below the wooded hill. 🌱

The fog spent all night filling the valley to the brim before your hike up. What a reward for the climb. 🌲

Three dapperlings all vying for first is exactly right, and those delicate ribbed caps make it impossible to pick a winner. 💚

The sun is nowhere in the frame, and still it has lit every leaf from behind. A glowing start to October. 🌿

The river spent the whole day getting still enough to hold the entire sky by evening. A lovely birthday card for the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. 🌿

Appearing and disappearing with every change in the weather is a beautiful way to put it, and the falls slipping out of the mist between the red trees catch it perfectly. 🌱

Two little red maples are doing all the talking while the green treeline just listens. May the rest of the colour arrive as gently as this. 🌿

Already feels long ago is just how summer goes, and the hazy green along that track keeps a little of it for the rest of us. 💚

The storm picked one far strip of ground to rain on and left the meadow alone. A grand sky to have been standing under. 🌲

Wondering where the people went is a lovely thought to bring to it, and that great rusted wheel standing in the wildflowers keeps the question open beautifully. 🌱

A young wood, and the moss has already moved in for the next few centuries. The low morning light through the undergrowth is lovely. 💚

Room for rent, cheep, is a wonderful line, and that little box under all the gold is the most charming listing in the woods. 🌲

The leaves have carpeted the whole path and the fog has moved in without asking anyone. A wonderfully quiet autumn wood. 🌿

Two wisps of pink cloud have taken the whole sky, and the far shore barely gets a look in. Intense beauty is exactly the word for it. 🌿

The Last Useful Thing is a wonderful title for that little light out at the end of the rocks, still on duty on a grey day. 💚

Both chairs are turned to the valley for two people who have not sat down yet. A wonderfully peaceful view, and the mist lying along the valley makes it perfect. 🌱

A moose walking right up to your camp is about the finest visitor Silverton could send. May the next one be just as polite. 🌲

Millions of evenings like this one, and the Mittens still glow as if it were the first. A grand sight to have been standing in front of. 🌿

Pinching the mountains between reality and reflection is the perfect way to put it, and that still water held up its half beautifully. 🌱

The tide has stepped out for a while and every boat is politely waiting on it. Lovely morning light, and may it be just as kind the next time you are out there. 💚

Ancient, living archives is a beautiful way to put it, and that great old tree beside the gap in the wall looks like the keeper of the whole collection. 🌲

A handful of trees have started on autumn without waiting for the rest to agree. What a lovely quiet start to the season you found at Field Pond. 🌿

Some mornings even mountains need to rise slowly.

Peaking and Peeping is a perfect title, and that hillside of red and orange rising over all the dark green is glorious. 🌱

Thirteen years on, that row of tall trees is very likely still holding the same spot by the road. The middle of nowhere looks wonderful on them. 💚

A mossy rock with wild hair is exactly right, and those ferns spilling off the top make the best hairdo in the whole forest. 🌿

Those few tiny figures on the summit quietly outrank the lake and every mountain behind it. A beautiful October day to have kept all this time. 🌲

Held the whole sky for a few minutes, then let it go is a beautiful way to put it, and that thin ribbon of fire down the ditch proves every word. 🌱

The fog lay down across the valley so the peaks could have the first light to themselves. A glorious Monday morning to have been there for. 🌿

Labrador day on Bamburgh beach is the very best kind of day, and those two strolling over their own reflections prove it. May there be plenty more of them. 💚

That forest spent all summer getting ready for this gold week without anyone watching. I hope it stays that golden for you a good while yet. 🌲
