Lemon 🍋 tree week 231 - I've rotated it just to prove it's not the same photo every week 😅

Every week I share a picture of the lemon tree grown from a seed I found in my takeout

The on-screen keyboard was looking dated to say the least, so I've created a new, dynamic, keyboard which isn't just a crummy jpg 😅 - because it's dynamic it even automatically adjusts to your current desktop layout! #screenshotsaturday #indiedev #gamedev #golf ⛳🏌️

I'd be making big box art if I had a big enough printer 😅

020

Mostly Hairless @trederiagames.com · 04/09/2026

Here's a lower res version of my attempt - I'll include a high-res printable version in the game's install directory 😁

A CD jewel case mock-up for Super Video Golf in the style of 90s and 00s PC-CDROMs

Mostly Hairless @trederiagames.com · 03/09/2026

I'll have to include some jewel case art so people can print it out if they make a physical copy 😁 📀

Mostly Hairless @trederiagames.com · 03/09/2026

Fun fact: throw in an autorun.inf for golf-nosteam.exe and burn the install directory to disc and you have a portable version of super video golf! Won't work on your playstation though 🤔

I generally don't post the Other Thing here, but there seems to be some overlap these days, what with the #playstation theming and all, so imma repost this 😁 youtu.be/ycJwVYXPvhY #90s #jungle 💿🎚️🎛️🎚️💿

Ended up migrating not only from SDL2 to SDL3 this week, but also switching to C++20 from C++17 (std::u8string😱🤯 - what a mess...) - Big thanks to @icculus.icculus.org for taking the time to answer my questions - awesome things are on the horizon! #indiedev #gamedev #libsdl #nintendoswitch

In hindsight cosmetics should probably be a separate DLC just to give players a choice of which type of content they want. As for whether I actually make any... 🤷🏽‍♀️ - depends on my mood :)

110

Mostly Hairless @trederiagames.com · 29/08/2026

It's just the same price as the previous DLC, except this time the cosmetics have been dropped in favour of more playable content 🙂

Just 2 courses. It's more of a supplement than an expansion I guess 😅

An eclectic palate is a good thing to have I think. I once went through a phase of searching out obscure shoutcast streams from eastern european radio stations. Some of it quite inspiring. Most of it uh, a tough listen though 😅

Everyone has a skill level and the only way to increase it is to keep doing what you enjoy 🙂 - and fwiw I didn't find any measurable success until I was into my 40s. Even then I'm just a tiny fish in a very big ocean 😅

Does it also happen with sdl3? If not you could use that with sdl2-compat (afaik homebrew on mac is already shipping that in place of sdl2 anyway. Some Linux distros might be too.)
