TIL VRChat's prototype walls are in fact... not 8m... WHAT... No wonder my measurements has been wrong and everything feels weird when I'm visualising things.

8m walls but the 2nd square is sitting a 6m above the ground.

Discord's internal reward economy, you do "quests" within games (that they partner with) and get Discord orbs to then spend on goods within their store so you don't need to spend money. So stuff like this... Encouraging people to basically spend more/interact with games/them more.

Showing a Store item. Pay with money or Orbs.

230

Treble (Notkea) ☉∇& @treblesketch.com · 08/09/2026

Discord is getting desperate... keep cancelling your Nitros. This is the highest orb reward I've seen ever, aren't they usually like a few hundred only???

Discord saying "Gift Nitro, summon 5,000 Orbs".

Honestly, I can't believe I've broken the Encoder??? What the heck is going on xD (checks VRCDN... c'mon??? A network attack RIGHT NOW???)

Skipped frames due to encoding lag, 99.6%
Dropped frames due to network, 2.1%

VRCDN announcemnet - We are aware of a targeted attack on some of our ingests and we are working as fast as we can to mitigate the effects.
