The Bohemian Waxwings came back today! This first picture gives you a sense of how many birds there were. The second picture was taken about 15 minutes after the first birds arrived - barely an apple left.

Crabapple tree loaded with Bohemian Waxwings, eating old crabapples.

Fifteen minutes later, the birds are all gone, and so are the crabapples.

2026 has not gotten off to a very good start. Early this morning, Bentley - the very bestest boy ever - passed unexpectantly. I loved him so much. He was a beautiful, sweet, and cuddly boy. I will miss him forever.

Day 7 - Buddha figurine sitting on a rock in Waterton's burnt out forest. I loved the juxtaposition of this calming, serene figurine in the midst of such devastation. #ArtAdventCalendar

Day 5 - Artsy photo of my cat Harley from a few years back. Messing around with the camera when he walked up and made this moody picture. I so loved that cat. #ArtAdventCalendar

And now Sadie thinks having a catnap is the perfect way to spend a Caturday afternoon. I have to agree.

We won't be dancing the new year in. And yes, my foot really is a lovely shade of yellow-y green!

For Christmas I thought I should do a face plant in Banff. Now I'm monitoring urgent care wait times to get a xray and see if I broke my foot...

Day 24 #ArtAdventCalendar my favorite mistake. This pour wasn't working & was getting muddy. In an attempt at salvaging I did balloon smashes & suddenly it worked. Seems like a good metaphor for this year. Merry Christmas & thank you @jayispainting.earthskyart.ca for filling my feed with beauty.

An acrylic pour 10 x 16 with balloon smashes- multi colored in blues red, yellow, purple, and white.

For Day 23 of #ArtAdventCalendar This is a #crossstitch I did for my mother-in-law a couple of years ago. She is one of the kindest people I know.

Crossstitch in peaches and greens with floral embellishments.

Missed a couple of days - bronchitis is not fun - but I'm back for Day 16 of #ArtAdventCalendar. A retro feeling acrylic pour done for my friend - a 1960s hippy flower child.

Abstract acrylic pour with ribbons of white, yellow, pink, purple, black and blue paints in the mood of a psychedelic acid trip.
