In hindsight, I’m starting to think it was kind of crazy we went this long without this tooling. I’ve been *this* close to abandoning the ERB ship but honestly, not anymore. This is exactly what we needed this whole time. Thanks for not only your vision but also your hard work on all of this. 🙏🏼

Damn Marco, this is looking great. Seeing your vision for Herb take shape has made me completely re-think views, components and HTML in Ruby.

This thread does a better job of capturing why the cloud isn’t merely “renting a bunch of servers” than anything else I’ve seen recently.

Ya, I usually spend more time comparing latencies than I do specific load numbers. Different services also have different users. Higher website latency might be a lot more noticeable than on an API for example.

Every one of our apps look the exact same after enabling jemalloc. Curious how this never became the defacto default with Ruby.

A bunch of tech CEOs are talking about being “AI-first”, the latest in a series of CEO fads like “return to office”, “founder mode” and “pivot to full fascism”. This one’s weird, though, because it only makes sense if… none of their workers are great at their jobs. anildash.com/2025/04/19/a...
