yeah, this was so surreal even for a giallo, and unique IMO in how the religious elements weren't approached like a symbol or a puzzle... they just appear and disappear, like the weather. I have zero clue what current director could do it, bc this era is so obsessed with *meaning* over experience.

nice I'm glad it held up! there was def a cool kind of theme park aspect to the production design of that era of films, but I never know what kind of actual vibe I'm gonna get revisiting them, unpredictable & still thinking about the Mousehunt to Blame! pipeline lol, maybe I have to rewatch it

totally, it was like they just went for the artists but not the customers but yeah I wish any of these shops would try to break out of the fragmentation of the music industry. Resonate Coop had a good idea with stream-to-own, but no budget. Bandcamp found their niche and stopped caring I guess.
