Tbh I was SO impressed with her care, esp when she briefly went to a rehab facility because we had heard there's a lot that are basically bad nursing homes. Dad was fighting one that didn't want to do the paperwork for his insurance and patient advocacy was like "why not this other place instead

Me neither!!!! Idk if I'll ever be able to drive very far distances, but I hope when I'm ready, it will help me make it to the grocery store or like, get into work if I need to go into the office, so I feel you. Transit is only as good as the schedule and infrastructure unfortunately :/

Try also seeing if any hospitals offer any programs for rehabilitative driving! I found out at my ADHD assessment our hospital has a program for rehabilitating ppl with extreme driving anxiety (originally for those in accidents) that I'd be fit for due to my anxiety with driving!

I feel so bad, I forgot I never followed up and need to share a proper update! I was just so worried because of all her other health complications but yeah, I'm SO glad they caught her as quickly as they did 😭 I can't imagine if things didn't go well, not prepared for that at all!

Of year and I've taken time off each month to go see my family since Mom's stroke (this week is my last week going down for a week). We did have a blizzard here overnight Sunday but it wasn't too major 😂 I hope things are going as well as can be for you, too, given, yknow. Everything. 💕

That cleaned up real fine), her short term memory issues were a result of the blood that was slowly being reabsorbed into her brain and once that cleared she was able to remember things again. Obviously the stuff with my uncle is another story, but :/ I myself am mostly just fatigued; it's that time

Yeeaaahhh it's not been the best couple of months but I can't really complain. I was worried Mom's recovery would be worse given all her health complications but the day following her stroke she could wiggle fingers/toes and move limbs, was able to speak (albeit somewhat slurred, and within weeks

Also hi! New Year has been Something. My mom had a stroke at the end of January (she's already back home and doing out patient PT, but it was really scary! She recovered remarkably well + quickly tho) however now she's doing well her step brother isn't doing well. He had four surgeries in one week

As of March 6, I didn't even have a switch 2 but I was SO MEGA JEALOUS that I used my points at work to redeem for one and they sent that thing out so fast it was at my door the very next day and I've spent the past 10 days doing nothing but Pokopia + work with one single break with friends
