Politics (if only we had a government that actually understood the real world). Business (trying to get our business back to where it was before Brexit). "Woke" in the "treat people as you would want to be treated yourself" sense! Cricket (not the 100)

You could do a quiz about that!

Surely such a meeting should be in the leader's official diary which I would assume is a matter of public record?

Most of them never knew it in the first place - all they know is Reform will remove people with different coloured skin to their own.

To make it a condition of us joining the EU would have to retrospectively change the agreements of a number of current member countries which have not yet joined. I don't see that as likely.

It would be many years before we'd need to join the Euro, we're so far off meeting the conditions any competent rejoin campaign could pretty much dismiss it as a consideration. My main fear is that a rejoin campaign might be taken over by the Remain campaigners from 2016 who got us into this mess.

Most people who voted for Brexit didn't like the fact that we had the best deal of any EU member country and felt we should give up that unfair advantage for an unknown future. Anyone now suggesting we should (re)join is more than aware that the terms available to us in future will be much worse.

Hello - I'm a person in a film or television drama. During telephone conversations I frequently agree to meet people but we never discuss a time or place.

Every time I see "farmer" and "Brexit" in the same sentence I'm reminded of my partner's family's neighbour in Herefordshire who proudly announced that he'd voted to leave because his EU payment was late - and the reaction when it was explained to him that was due to a UK govt office in Reading.

I'm absolutely horrified this woman thinks it's acceptable to track her ADULT 19 year son like this. Parents seem to be total control freaks these days - I'm from the "in the holidays we left home at 8 in the morning and our parents didn't see us till dinner" age group - we were allowed to grow up

Transfergraeme @transfergraeme.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
Yes but that's the point - your son did it "before starting uni" - so presumably just for a few months ? The skilled people UK farmers need are the ones who are available when and where they are needed all over the UK year in year out and UK youngsters aren't willing to commit to that.

He also clearly has no understanding of the work these labourers do - they might start the year picking daffodils in Cornwall and move around the country 3/4/5 times picking seasonal fruit/vegetables in different areas and living in caravans where they work - try getting UK youngsters to do that.

Not surprising - his Reform supporters don't listen when Farage says he's against improved sick pay, abolishing zero hours contracts and fire/rehire, and that a Reform government would abolish the NHS, reduce benefits and maternity/paternity leave, reduce workers' rights, and reduce the minimum wage

I can never forgive "Mr 7 out of 10" for his attitude to the referendum - he clearly went against the wishes and definitely the interests of most Labour voters (particularly his core supporters) and buggered off for a fortnight holiday in the middle of the most important vote in the UK's history.

The average US citizen is currently 23 times as likely to be hospitalised with food poisoning as the average UK/EU citizen - but obviously for Trump this isn't a big enough number and he wants to increase it "bigly"!

Nearly got arrested on a hockey tour for a "chariot race" in Worthing - 5 blokes each pushing a woman in a shopping trolley along a quiet pedestrianised street - we were saved from the wrath of Sussex Police by the fact that 3 of the women were members of a police hockey team at the same event!

Absolutely correct - that's why the 1975 referendum gave the result it did and any breakdown of the 2016 result shows that the 75/80+ age group were strongly pro-Remain.

His quote that he didn't want to attend the count because he would be "demeaned and humiliated by nobodies" says a great deal about the man!

The fact that Reform's "leadership" think that their own members are their greatest danger has alarming parallels with Trump's "I love the uneducated". Reform and MAGA are basically both very rich people seeking to do harm to those less well off than themselves and get even richer at their expense.

Unless I'm reading it wrong that makes no sense! With all 34 (?) candidates in contention Farage gets 73% - but in a straight "run-off" between him and Binface he only gets 69%?

"The Trump Administration is going to hurt America in the long run if this continues." Looking from outside the US, and talking to people around the world the damage is done and it's going to take a long time and a serious change of attitude to get the US back to where it was just 2 years ago.

It says they're doing it because they want the investigation into Farage to be dropped. They haven't worked out that if he gets re-elected the existing investigations will continue, and new allegations will also be investigated. His best chance of not being investigated is if he loses next month.
